Questions about Celerity, guns and Toreadors =p

Post by zlurriguy »

Will Celerity rank 5 make run as Fast as "Bishop", the zombie king boss for that disease quest? I heavent played myself yet just watched a friend play but i have just orderd the game and im thinking of what i want to play... im thinking of a Toreador whit maxed ranged skill and Celerity so i can be like that bishop =P Another thing...is guns effective against bosses? I dont wanna have minimum melee skill and come whit Celerity and a shotgun and dont make any damage...

Don't know what level of Celerity that Bishop has, so I can't say if you'll move as fast (or faster) than him. Bullets affect the undead less than unarmed or melee but still do damage. I played the game through as a Malkavian specializing in Ranged rather than Melee or Unarmed, so I think the important thing for Ranged damage is to up your skill level quickly if you want to rely on guns.

Have no fear, celerity five will most assuredly have you getting the lead out. Suffice to say that, with Celerity 5 and a decent hand gun, a certain latter scene in a night club will become very Matrix-esque for you. I rather like the hands-on feel of shoving 3 feet of sharpened metal into someone, or drinking them dry while using them as a human shield... But to each their own.

I'm currently on a Brujah focusing almost solely on Unarmed. It's great fun doing vicious loads of damage with my bare hands. A high Unarmed paired with Celerity, Potence, & Presence is unbelievable - you run out of blood quickly using all those disciplines, but you can dispatch enemies quickly enough that you can easily take out a mob and then drain the last enemy standing.

Ahh yeah. Feels nice to get your hands dirty eh?

Hey? Whats this?... Humanity 3?? Aww c'mon! All I did was tear out that guys spinal cord and use it like a morning star to club his friends to death!

Careful with Celerity, make sure you always save before casting, any Disciplines.
Not only does Celerity cause some quest to break, but loading a save or changing levels with Disciplines active is a sure fire way to crash the game.

Think Bishop has Celerity 3, 4 at most, no way he has 5.
Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

Dealing with Vick as Tremere ***SPOILER***

I've actually found a way as Tremere to deal with Vick easily.
After you off all the zombies, you force him into a corner, and then just hit him with ranged fire and Blood Strike until he dies. When he pops up from behind his concealment, you can get in a Blood Strike and a head shot before he ducks back, and before long he's toast. Too easy.
