Gangrel Protean Question

Post by VampSirucek »

I've combed this entire section, hoping someone else had already posted with this problem, else I wouldn't be posting.

My character's a relatively new Gangrel (still in Santa Monica), and she has Level 2 Protean. The problem is that whenever I activate it, all I see are shades of red, orange and yellow which change as I walk/look around. Is this a bug, or is it something else? The game runs fine otherwise, so I don't think it's a RAM or video card problem. Also, I run it on 800 x 600, if that matters.

Thanks!

whenever you use protean you begin to see through red eyes so everything is supposed to be red/orange etc. however, what you see should look exactly the same, except its like you are looking through a pair of red-tinted sunglasses lol. if there is nothing but shades of colour and no detail then its a bug or a problem with your card

Thanks. It's been a while since I've updated the drivers, so that might affect the problem, too.

<edit>
Kind of embarrassed to admit this, but my vid card drivers were almost 4 years old...dled the updated drivers, and everything's cool. :-D

When I played a Gangrel, I quickly abandoned Protean (for Animalism). I just didn't like the way the PC moved slower in War Form (at least it seemed slower to me). For example, in the diner, the sabbat guys that Therese sent after me could move away from me and get an extra shot or two at me while I was trying to get close enough to hit them with my claws. I like the damage boost, but it wasn't worth the decrease in moving speed to me.
Death awaits you with nasty, sharp, pointy teeth.
