I love longswords, but to make it specific I only use the katana and Dai-Katana.

I like spears! I play a fighter Nord, so I use all weapons. The Ebony Spear is the best looking weapon I've ever seen in a computer game.

Live by the bow myself. It may be cheap but its better than swinging away at twenty cliff racers.

I like unarmed personally. It's all well and good to beat down someone with a big sword. However, it takes balls to take down a monster with your fists. Ever take down a golden saint unarmed? You feel like you accomplished something when that happens. *nods*

I did make a mod, and make a sword that can level roughly 1/4 of Balmora in one swing. That was amusing for a short period of time. Nothing to do with the weapon aspect however, just the big rolling waves of fire and electricity it let off when I whacked people with it.

Sniping is fun.....Climb onto a roof and pick people off with your bow. Especially if you jump onto the roof and no one else can jump up there.

I'm finally getting my Morrowind Play disc back from an old friend who's had it over a year now. WHEEEEE

Anybody else here who loves to snipe?:mischief:[/QUOTE]

You said it, sometimes i'd just save my game and go around assainating unsuspecting guards just for the fun of it!

Also, Throwing Stars! Glass throwing stars are awesome! Makes you feel like a true ninja. ;)

What are you talking about? If it's a mod could you give me a link as it sounds cool.

I love my ebony longsword enchanted with 30 pts. fire damage. Thats not to say I wont go around on roof tops with a few poison spells some restore magicka potions, about 1500 iron arrows and a daedric longbow. Or take some time off to pillage Caldera or Balmora with my Daedric Claymore.

I liked to use Umbra aswell, but well, I had all the best longswords in the game so I couldn't really make up my mind as to which one I'd use.

:p

Shortblade

My dark elf is part of Morag Tong, so he uses mostly short blades. small, but silent and deadly :D . An assassins best friend. I also have Sel-senupils bonebiter bow, that is pretty simple, but effective.

I have a Fire blade with lots of fire damage. perfect for killing dratted corprus stalkers.:mischief:

Short blade - just because i'm playing a sorceress type character and it doesn't really feel right given her anything bigger than a short blade - i'm pretty impressed with the 2 short blades i had enchanted though (although I am still in the early stages of the game)

I have learned that a Long Blade is great when you are trying to fight a "single opponent" a Short Blade is good if you prefer to get up close to a guy to be an "assassin" a Bow/Crossbow/Sherikon/Throwing Star/Nek'tu'nataku (A Bow that fires bolts of lightning instead of Arrows mostly found in Shrines in the Hidden Passage near Kuul) are perfect if you want to kill an opposing general (or target of assassination) and a couple lieutenants from long range (good for assassination also) a Blunt Weapon is perfect if you have a job to capture a person alive, or believe it or not are perfect for a thief, if you need to get something like the land deed in the first Imperial Legion mission you can just move behind the woman, bash her in the back of her head with your blunt weapon and take the key to unlock the chest, as she is still knocked out you can steal the other goodies around her house(blunt weapons like Clubs, Mages Staffs, Caster Staffs, or Rock log). when you have to fight against full bodied armored opponents like the Imperial Legion on "kill the general" quest when you have to kill the General incharge of the Fort Moonmoth Garrison, the Axe rips directly through their armor, you can kill a Legionaire in 2 even 1 hit if you go for the chest. your Axe can even shatter shields if the skill is high enought, my Axe skill on my character is 388, all my other weapon skills are around 200-300 my Axe skill is the strongest because i always take the "Battle Missions" like when you are a part of the Fighters Guild and settle the "land dispute" between the Fighters Guild and the Imperial Legion, you have to STEALTHLY kill Imperial Legionaires without them seeing you (unless you ARE NOT apart of the Imperial Legion) in order to steal the land deed to a dock (sound formiliar to a mission you had to do with the Imperial Legion as one of their first missions?) i just ignored the fact i was a member of their faction and went all out conflict with my Deadaric War Axe and pummeled the **** out of them. but i do not recommend you do this because they will forever attempt to kill you on site, whenever i go to Gnsis or any place with an imperial garrison i have to kill em all (with no survivors) my repuation in the game is a "The Conqueror and Notorious Murderer of the Land" becareful of what you do in the game and HOW you use weapons.

Usually I prefer axes because they are really strong and if you get the Complete Morrowind mod you can chop down trees with them. Other than that I also prefer long swords because their quick and pretty strong most of the time. I usually use Marksman weapons as snipers practically so I can hit enemies far away, but I usually use those as secondary weapons if I get bored with my melee weapon.

i love unbra. its one of the first things i get in the game. i make a few levate potions, some arrow.... lots of arrows. and cheese the hell out of him. if you want a sword more powerful than umbra, then it will weigh atleast twice what umbra does. and don't worry noone will make fun of a purple sword since its bigger than you are. well if you haven't figured it out i voted for long blade. i also like marksman, but umbra never needs ammo.
