Spellsowrd
Spellsowrd
Hello, I want a spellsowrd in my party (fighter/mage) and I was wondering wich one is the best??? And secondly, wich Specialist wizard is the best?
You guys are my best friends, we've always been together, we're four of a kind laughing all day and palling away, we're best friends!

Instead of fighter/mage, I highly recommend rogue/mage. Rogue will give you evasion, mage will give you fireball. Hint hint.
In any case. Specialist wizard- Transmuter or Evoker would be your best bet.

Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.
It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.

but the rouge doesn't have any melee capabilities, he's a lousy figher, I want a good fighter with high strenght that can buff himself up and use very cheesy spells like Mirror Image, Tenser's Transformation, Stoneskin and so on....
And why should I pick Evoker?? The Diviner can't cast Conjuration spells, but the Evoker can't cast Conjuration and Divanation spells, doesn't that sound just worse??
And the Transmuter can't cast Abjuration spells?!?!?? That's not good for a spellsword!

Ahh yeah, forgot about that. Haven't played the game in a while, thought you could choose your own prohibited schools.
Well, for one, evocation and conjuration are useless if that's the type of character your going for.
I'd recommend not choosing a school, being a general wizard, BUT focusing on both Abjuration and Transmutation.
Abjuration= protection.
Transmutation= buffs.

well, if conjuration sucks then I might as well use a Diviner since Conjuration is the only type of magic a Diviner can't use ^^...
I have another question too, how sould my character look?
Should he be a fighter XX/wizard XX multiclass, or perhaps a figher 4/barbarian 3/ rouge 3/ wizard XX dual class?.... cause I want strong melee figher with good BAB and many attacks per round, but i've heard that fighter is a useless class above level 4.... I think I'm gonna go for a Fighter 4/ Barbarian 3/ Wizard XX....

I wouldn't recommend more than 2 classes, BUT, lets say you go halfling, and yes, halflings can be decent wizards.
Here's what I suggest-
Rogue 2 (for evasion)
Fighter X/Wizard X and keep them balanced. This won't incur an XP penalty as the rogue is the Halflings favored class, meaning you can go however many levels you want in that and never get the penalty.
So, lets say by tenth level-
Rogue 2/Fighter 4/Wizard 4
That should treat you well through the game.

no my char is definately gonna be a drow, they are so über , SR, ability bonuses and so on, and halfling get -2 to strenght .... I'm playing a party of 4 so I won't have trouble with drow gaining levels slowly.... I think I'm gonna go for the Fighter 4/ Barb 3/ Wizard XX

That's totally your choice.
And if you want, I can help you make a build off of this idea, so that way you optimize your character. IM me on AIM/YIM or PM me if you want that assistance.
I will say this, Drow aren't that impressive actually. They rather hamper the party than benefit them at the start, so it will be 3 times as hard to level up than for say, a halfling.

...go for the figher 4/barbarian 3/ rogue 3/ wizard XX without any specilisation!

I read you're guide, but what is the point of having a fighter lvl 2 through all the game? why not first max the fighter/barb/rouge levels and then go for the wizard levels?

...what the...?!!
...no - leveling up ECL classes is definetly not a problem at all!
...as they are lowering the average party level and therefore you can get much more EXP especially with a party of four!
...for more details on this issue have a look on the the guide

ok, everybody says that drow is the best race, and I agree, I have played drow and the rock, totally rock everything, they have so many boni that's it's hard to believe and the only downside to them is that they lvl up slower, but in a party of 4 that is no longer an issue since my chars will gain much more exp

...you can also go this way - just a matter of taste - but you already get a that powerfull melee fighter with rogue 3 - barb 3 - fighter 2 that I didn't take the last 2 fighter levels at that point (MI, blink, blur, tenser's, M-sword are just to sweet to get them to late in the game )

With a drow, maxing the fighter out would give you a penalty to XP.
I usually played a 3 party team and Drow are STILL hard to level during that time. Once you get beyond Targos, then yeah, it's easy, but you're in targos for quite a while to begin with.

and why should I use 2 weapon fighting?? Double Axes ROCK with maxed out strenght!! I'll have a lot higher attack bonus and therefore i will hit more often, and i'll deal more damage, and I get to keep 2 feats! I wouldn't trade that for just 1 extra attack per round
