aerie romance facts (possible spoilers)
i've been through many walkthroughs, and all have said 1 thing about aeries romance. There is no "all the way" and there is no romance if haer' dalis is in the party. One said that after you go "all the way" with aerie she will break up with you and it will be over.
Well, I don't think any of those people completed a game with an Aerie romance, because there is much more to it. For one thing, I had Haer' Dalis when I was romancing Aerie, and though he was hitting on her, it's all a matter of choosing the right option in the conversation. He admitted to having his "eye set upon her tender heart" but he stepped aside, and even vouched to sing at my wedding. And not too long after that, Aerie admitted her love and asked me to "lay down with her". It went by, and the next morning, she asked me to take a break, and without getting hysterical, I worded it correctly, and it ended just as one of the walkthroughs said. What it didnt say was that at the Tree of Life, when I am about to enter the branch area, I was prompted to ask my party members what they wanted to do. It went, Keldorn, Imoen, Minsc, Jaheira, and Aerie. With aerie, instead of saying "you dont have to come" all it said was "Aerie, I..." and then she started up a conversation saying she loved me and bla bla bla. Then the romance continued all the way to the end of the game where Aerie had her baby after the first battle with Mellisan. When I beat Mellisan, and it gave me the option to take the power or leave it, Aerie said that she didn't want me to leave the baby and her, and that the thought of it made her want to scream, but she would accept whatever my descision be. I chose to leave it, and the game ended.
As I clearly stated, the romance DID continue, unlike what most walkthrough's say. They just didn't choose the correct wording in the conversations.

Most of the walkthroughs were probably written for SoA only, they did not know about the romances in ToB. As for Haer'Dalis, the reaction you got was because you added him into the party when the romance with Aerie is already in it's "advanced" stage - in which case Haer'Dalis does in fact step aside for the two of you to continue. There is a conflict with Haer'Dalis if you add him into the party early in the romance. Once again, the outcome depends on which dialogue choices you make, there are three possible outcomes:
1. The romance with Aerie continues, Haer'Dalis leaves the party;
2. Aerie & Haer'Dalis leave the party; or
3. Aerie & Haer'Dalis stay, but the romance with Aerie is over.

Also, if you turn her down the first time she asks you to lie down with her, and asks her if thats what she really want, she'll admit that she feels a bit pressed, and says "just hold me", or something, instead. If you do it this way, the romance will continue as normal, and she'll ask you to sleep with her when she is ready.

If I recall properly, the way my romance with Aerie continued with Haer' Dalis in the party was in a conversation between Haer' Dalis and Aerie, not me. Aerie told him that she loved me and he vouched to play at my wedding. I'm just playing again after half a year and I had the conversation again.

Hmmm, this is interesting Ber. I never bothered to try the Aerie Romance because
1) I never liked her
2) From everything I read it never really 'went anywhere' (per se), like how you've mentioned.
Now that apparently there is a satisfying ending to it, I may try it just to see what happens. I still don't like her very much (I think she's annoying
) but it's worth a shot at least. Thanks

Those people just need to think of the nicest things to say, and no, calling her annoying is not one. But I'm not denying that shes not annoying. And the ending is quite satisfying. I would like to see what a Viconia romance would be like though..

do you think
that as my present PC is a woman, that H would provide/hold the turkey baster?
She might want a civil partnership if Anomen gets on her tts.
Does removing a character from the party at any point prevent the romances?
I can't recall and I had a break from Anomen when he wasn't particularly useful, but now have him back.
he's a bit of a misery though.

Well, removing someone from the party that you are romancing snaps that romance and you can't pick up where you left off if you decide to take them back. If you weren't romancing Anomen at the time, then you should be fine.

*nods* I'll refrain from calling her 'annoying' at any point in time.

So now what with Aerie??
@ Berethor
I agree...Aerie is one of my favorites. In ToB is is just awesome! I usually equip her with the Robe of Vecna, CF and the best sling I can find...
possible spoilers (please highlight to read)
Anyway, starting over again, I am trying the Aerie romance. I just finished the argument that A has w/ Jah. "I'm older than you, blah, blah..." I told her that we would try to get her wings back...(The other responses didn't seem to help much). ShadowKeeper has my Areieromance variable at 1. Am I still good?
Thanks
