Item distribution
These are just ideas
Scenario A:fighter finds a sword +1 he keeps it
Scenario B:fighter finds a staff +1 HE IS NOT ALOWED TO KEEP IT, the item is put in a stash he may challanger a mage(Or any one who the Guild leader diserves it.) so they can get it, if they lose umm something

Share, make the Guild more powerful.
By the time we have a stash of Longswords +1 in our vault, we send our best merchant (spelled up until he glows in the dark, of course) to sell all leftovers to some NPC merchant.

I would think if we kept the "Good of the Guild" foremost in our minds when dealing with items, we'll come out ahead. Also, if we end up adventuring in Argyle, there probably won't be a whole lof of magical weapons. From what their site says, they are going to make the magical items far and few between, so to acquire them will take some serious effort.
"Think on this, arrogant mageling: even the mightiest archmage has no spells strong enough to let him cheat death. Some take the road of lichdom... a living death. The rest of us find graves, and our dust is no grander than that of the next man. So when next you lord it over some farmer with your fireballs, remember: we all master spells enough to die"

i thought it was up to the dm to make magic weapons and that good stuff. if we have a dm in the guild then well it shouldn't be to hard to find magical wepaons even though i don;t want it that way. (to much like everquest with the lvl 50 super ultra mega paladin with the ultimate weapon in hand and stuff)Originally posted by mikeheitz:

Lots of uber eq = boring as hell.
If I want that, I'll play Diablo II.
Try to leave your good stuff at the Guild when you log out. That way, your brothers (and sisters) in arms may get some good use out of it.
After all, I really think we could be one tightly knit group without too much of petty squabbles about "I want the Toilet Seat +2! No, I want the Toilet Seat +2! No, I want..." (you get the picture)
If the DMs and other guilds do their work, we should have a hard enough time already without internal struggles.
Friendly competition, on the other hand...

I would like this idea.....if not for one draw back.
I'm 4th level Paladin and find a two handed sword +2 , I finish up for the day...head to guild and leave my sword for others to use.
Along comes Mr.1st level and gets my sword and heads out to adventure....only to be killed with everyone in the party.
I come back tomorrow and find all the time I spent finding this sword is wasted.
I now have no sword. I will have to either buy one or borrow.
This is just one sword....what if a 1st level mage took ring of Unholy might, staff+2, robe of super duper might and boots of god speed and was killed along with everyone in the party.
Good bye to this as well.
I'm all for helping out....but a limit needs to be set.

Mmm.. yes. It does depend kinda heavily on the sense of responsibility of your fellow Guild members.Originally posted by Weasel:

Agreed - I say that everybody gets to keep the equipment they find as personally if they can (will) use it at present or later - so if Weasel gets a +2 sword it is his untill he either won't use it anymore(gets another weapon) and then can give/sell it to somebody else.Originally posted by Weasel:

If he finds a +1 crosbow/staff whatever and don't want to use it himself - then he can give that up.

Speaking for my self, being a mage, I'll need a lot of gold for writing spells into my spellbook, so I hope that some of you would help a poor little mage

A bard, eh? Well then, friend, do what bards do best, and amaze us with wonderful stories and humorous songs over the history of this great land. If your stories and singin' ain't bad, then perhaps we'll be offering up some donations, become patrons of a sort. But it your stories and songs ain't good, well then, methinks i'll not be wanting to support your continued career.Originally posted by craig:

Oh well, if your singing career doesn't work out, you can always go back to crawling through the woods and shooting stuff.Originally posted by craig:
