Portrait Import

Post by RBitG »

Just a quick question, could anybody tell me how to import portraits in to BGII? (I'm using TOB).

Thanks.

I could call a RTM, but it doesn't take long to explain... first, find your default installation path (something like C://Games/Baldur's Gate II) and locate your portrait folder. There, you should put two files, one larger and one smaller. Both must be BMP... It should look like this in your folder:

PicL.bmp (110x170 pixels, large portrait)
PicS.bmp (38x60 pixels, small portrait)

Most sites already have the pictures ready to use if you put them in your portrait folder. If you're making one yourself, just make sure the size and type is correct. And the filename shouldn't be too long. I think maximum is around 8 characters.

Hope that explains it, otherwise check out the baldur's gate portrait manages... either find it at http://www.sorcerers.net or google it... Im too lazy right now... ^^
