Level 2 Elven catacombs ,Can't fight gaurdian dwarven statues

Apparently i have to go through dwarven tombs on level 2,elven catacombs.When i get to the fourth tomb,during combat with wraiths,the statues attack,whether i've plundered or not.The icon beneath their feet stays white ,and i can't attack with melee.I can attack with spells that appear to do damage, which is also kind of strange when considering the Well spring guardian's immunities. If the statues see you fighting they will attack you. Solution seems to be to close the door and don't cast spells.
