Fatal bug

Hi,

please help me. When I get out of the Society of Leopold, after Bach blew it up, the game loads the next place. But after it has loaded, the game exits and I return to the desk. Always. Please help me! Do I have to get a patch and if I have to, ado I have to start a new game??

And my clan is Gangrel, if it means anything.

The official 1.2 patch fixed this problem. I think you can install it and keep playing the same game you are on.

**** it. Didn't help. I should propably start a new game but I've seen pretty much job for this game and it would be a liiittle frustrating to start from the beginning again. Any ways of skipping the place? Plz?

i've never experienced it myself but its is a known bug so if you do a search for leopold on these forums i think there is a thread that could help you. i don't think you'd have to start a new game as there is usually a way around these bugs using the cheat console.

Ok. One more question. How do I install patch 2.1a? I've unzipped it but there's no Install icon anywhere. :S

Hehe, ok.
Well you notice there is a file named Vampire after you unzip, take that and copy or move it to your main directory \Vampire-Bloodlines.
You can see the Vampire directory in the \Vampire-Bloodlines directory, you will know you got it right if it ask you to overwrite current files.
There is a command to bypass this problem if you look in my Custom thread, if I recall.

If you saved Johansen:

SaveJohansen()

Then to level transition if you're anybody but a Nosferatu:

changelevel2 la_hub_1 taxi_landmark

And if you're a Nosferatu, instead use:

changelevel2 la_hub_1 sewer_map_landmark

If you do not use this command you must start your game before you enter the level with the boat, so basicly in the house or before.

Cute...

Unzip the file to a folder of your liking ( I would go for something easy, so just create a new folder and then unzip the file into it ). Then copy and paste the unziped files to the Vampire game folder. You are probably being asked if you want to delete the old files, so click on yes and then the new updated files are being copied into your game folder....

Then...play the game...

But can I continue an already saved game after installing it or do I have to start from the beginning again?

You do not have to start over.
