Gems

Does anyone know what good are all the other gems(i.e. phenalope, malacite, alexandrite, ect.)? I have read the posting on what is needed to make magical items and don't see these listed. Should I just sell them?

I sell them to shops usualy,but you can indeed make magic items with them.Although,if there is a possibility to make an item,you can find the gems near the place anyway,so my advice is: Sell Them!

In the OC and HoTU yes sell them. If you are playing SoU keep your phenalope, aventurine, fluorspar and amethyst if you want to make focus crystals. In HoTU you may also come across some very valuable Black Pearls which might just have a special use

You should probably keep hold of any diamonds you find (in the Original Campaign), but other than that, most can be sold. Any gems related to quests that aren't diamonds will likely be worthless to a merchant anyway.
I think it's Black Opals, not Pearls...and for some reason they look red.

In SoU you want to hang on to rubies too. I'd go so far as to buy some if you see them for sale, you can do some nifty things with them in a ruin.

LeMasterMind I did just that. I did a basic search for 'Gems' and start clicking and reading over some of the posts with no real luck. I think I recall the post your talking about, I kinda remember read over it, but can't find it.
Has anyone seen the post as of recently or know what it was titled???
