Lord Vivec & Tribunal (spoiler!)

Post by dragon wench »

I did a search on this, but typing Vivec into the search engine is a bit like shouting "free icecream!" in a room full of toddlers :p

I also checked the walkthrough but saw nothing.

Anyway.. so there I was taking a nap in my Mournhold home, Velas Manor, and all of a sudden I was woken up by something that looked like Vivec, telling me I would die for my heresy (or something similar). Luckily I had that lovely blade, King's Oath on my person, and I spanked him soundly.
When he reached zero health... *poof*... he vanished.

I was fairly certain this was actually some kind of avatar of Vivec, but just to make sure I booted on over to his house. And of course, there he was, happily floating and stretching in mid air. We had a nice chat, and then I left.

Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? I thought it might be part of the Tribunal Main Quest, but as I stated, I saw nothing to indicate it is.

note: the only quest mod I currently have installed is "White Wolf of Lokken," and I know that has nothing to do with this.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Hmm...

Got a savegame? Try playing it again, and get some screenies...

Perhaps someone might recognise it then...

I did have a save game, and I loaded it. I tried following the same sequence of events, and I rested repeatedly. The only thing that happened is that my character ate all of the food in her inventory (I'm using NOM)

No Vivec, nothing.. Really bizarre!

The only thing I can think of is that maybe I asked too many people about "discontent in the temple," after already completing that quest.

It didn't seem like a bug. Moreso, one of those weird, random MW things, sort of like Phreddie's blue hole.

You could look up the dialogue it used in the CS...

I had a look on the construction set this morning. I found nothing. I'm new to the construction set though, so it might be worth having a look yourself DW.

I'm rather construction set 'challenged'.... :o

Um... how do I look up dialogue in there, and please feel free to give me "The Idiot's Guide to the CS." :D

EDIT:
Okay, nevermind, I figured out how to check dialogue in the CS. However.. I saw nothing to indicate the dialogue I saw...
Maybe it was the skooma causing hallucinations

Was it sound, because you look under 'Voice' in the dialogue window...

This may work, although I'm running out of ideas here...

I found out the answer! :D

If you are running dracandos voice and have many priests you may be attacked by avatars of vivec and alexmania. It's in the readme.
