Missing quests in the end? (final planet spoiler)

Post by YaWaNLoNG »

Hi I just finished Kotor II and was wondering if you guys could help me with missing story parts.

[Light side mastery only]
Am I just the only one but doesn't it seem that there are missing quests on Malachor V? When you play as the droid and power up these 4 buried ships then 'Goto' comes up to stop it. They were supposed to wait for my call but the game ended without any explanation of what happend.

Then there are the 'companion quests' that also end up open. What is this? my lack of influence with them did not unlock them? Glitch? Or did they rush the game? :( Feels like they just want to make sure we buy the next game.

Anyways, without telling me what happend could you guys just tell me if these are true?

1. After Mira and the wookie's final battle on Malachor(that's her final scene?)
2. HK Droid factory?
3. Mira and the sensor droid are the only ones that have solo quests on Malachor?
4. There are more allies aside from Handmaiden(Brianna), Visas Mar, Mira, Atton, Kreia, Bao-Dur, HK-47, T3-M4, Goto and Mandalore?
5. Dark side has a more comprehensive story?
6. Game was waaayy to easy for Jedi Guardians. :D

Appreciate any responses. :)

congrats on finishing it. they whole game is rushed. lucasarts pushed obsidian for an early release date and a lot of things wernt finished and some bugs/glitches wernt worked out either. but, thankfuly, there is a restoration team called TeamGizka. check it out. http://www.team-gizka.org they work on peicing together what was supposed to be in there and stuff that wasnt. i reccomend it.
1. After Mira and the wookie's final battle on Malachor(that's her final scene?)
yep
2. HK Droid factory?
there was supposed to be but it never made it. team gizka is working on completing it tho.
3. Mira and the sensor droid are the only ones that have solo quests on Malachor?
yep
4. There are more allies aside from Handmaiden(Brianna), Visas Mar, Mira, Atton, Kreia, Bao-Dur, HK-47, T3-M4, Goto and Mandalore?
yep. like if you play as female exile then you get the disciple on dantooine. if you play super hard core dark side before you get to nar shadaa, you get hanharr instead of mira.
5. Dark side has a more comprehensive story?
no idea. i havent played dark side yet. others have, so im sure theyll be more of a help then i am
6. Game was waaayy to easy for Jedi Guardians.
i dont know. ive always only played as a consouler. more force points and powers

5. I agree, you get the whole 'Revan was not really evil' (if you said s/he was) perspective, which i - being a Grey Jedi fan myself - loved.

6. Aha, you can just slice through all the enemies with your extra lightsaber focus and dual weapon focus, combined with enlightenment, and you are a killing machine.

Edit: Oh and, yay for Team Gizka!

5) In fact, Darkside has, if anything, a less comprehensive story, because if you're mean to your companions you never get enough INF to find out what is going on. I played DS first, and never found out what was happening in the main plot at all. I was very confuzzled.

There isn't as much difference for DS as there was in the first game, anyway.

^ Ah, you mean the character interaction? Regretibly, you could not unlock most characters using Dark Side, but playing it; well, atlleast i thought the story was better.

im starting ds for the 1st time and ive noticed that i really dont get any plot info as im always saying "shut up. time to die!" so ill have to say i agree so far. if you want the game to go like 10 times faster, just play dark side lol

Restarted using a consular(LS), is it just me or did the difficulty level just up one? Kept on restarting the Polar Academy scene to see if i could get BACK my lightsaber, no luck. Then went to see walkthru on this topic, its not there either. Oh well. THEN I found out not only did they omit a LOT from Malachor V. The makers deleted a posible ally AND an entire planet from the game. sad . . . sad . . . sad . . . :(

Sure a lot of pointing on who wanted it done before christmas, was it 2004? can't remember. I say they're all at fault, bad planning(or they wouldn't rush in the first place) and GREED(the dark side).

The only good sides I see in this is that:

1. I wont be repeating the game as a sentinel to see if I can get those missing quests I thought existed.
2. My instincts were correct about not buying it new. Sure am glad i bought it used 1/8 of the buying price. Plus it tells me the next time Lucas arts comes up with another game or movie I wait for someone to sell it to me VERY VERY cheap. Again. :)

Thanx for the replies.

PS: Has any Light side user ever get there lightsaber at Telos Academy(first visit) without cheating or glitching?

i admit, your alignment had eluded me. hahaha. it makes sense now. consider my earlier comment, about you being a dickhead, retracted. i still consider you a weenie tho. that just means that you cant make a decision. dang fence sitter... lol.

but i also see that you have be very careful as to not slip one way or the other. so let me ask you, R, why and how do you do it? (this is an honest question)

Well, here it is, equally as serious. I see both Jedi and Sith teachings as having some strength, and alot of weakness. For example, Jedi must learn to control their emotions, Sith are controlled by them. Both have the wrong idea. You should use your emotion to derive greater power from the force, but not let it consume you, and, as i have stated earlier doing so requres great strengh of mind.

Jedi think you should be calm, and meditate on what to do, Sith belive that you need to act on the moment, and do whatever your desires tell you to. Grey Jedi however, should see how each action can effect the situation, and act based on how it can aid you.

Jedi are bound to try and save everyone, while the Sith will slaughter. Wereas, those 'fence sitters' will turn the ones that can be usefull, slay the ones that will be dangerous, and release the ones that are neither dangerous nor useful.
