Can lvl 6 char from 1.4 load into CE?

Hi,

Great forum - love this game.

I've got CE coming from Canada any day. Can I load a level 6 char (I'm using 1.4) still running around in the initial area into CE and expect all the CE stuff to happen etc?

No, unfortunately you cannot use any characters from any previous versions with the collector's edition.

I even just clicked 'play this character' to accept the defaults for the Female Elf Mage I'd setup for 1.4 and she came out with no armor or weapons ... or anything.

So you really *do* need to start from scratch.

Too early to tell - my copy just came this morning, and I just wanted to get it installed and get a character created. Everything so far works fine, but I've not hit any of the new stuff yet. Although I watched the intro cutscene for the first time since the initial install

Thanks for the info guys.

I'd built a really nice gal all set to conquer CE. Guess I'd better do something useful til it arrives!

Until I read this forum I thought getting a character up in levels at the first 2 shacks ... unclothed (cough) ... was a bit keen. But I like shaping my character to be just right - part of the fun.
