Irenicus should be the most powerful mage in this game (BG2-SoA not in ToB). So he should have 25int and 25wis.

Why should he have int/wis 25? A mage can be powerful without being über-human. After all, Irenicus isn't far from human/elf.

D*mn, now we know his name and his stats, that will make killing him so much harder.

Yep, he was an elf but they removed his immortal elven soul. Guess he is just some kind of scale now...

Irenicus is not so powerful IMO. Try kill Elminster or Drizzt.....they're more powerful.

Forgot to mention, sorry, he is pure *human* Image
And in hell he has dex 20.
But it doesn't matter ... Slayer has str/dex/con 25/25/25, base AC -4 (-16 at least in total) and more than 200 HP anyway Image
Wbw,
L.
PS Well, how about there is not supposed the mage over level 17 in the game? Bah, that fellow already have 5 level 9 spells memorized Image

wtf is a slayer lol
damnit then a slayer should be abel to kill anything.

elminster has 25 constitution (thanx to being one of chosen of mystra) but rest sucks. spells he memorizes is kinda like 9/9/9/9/9/9/9/9/8.

drizzt on the other hand now in 3rd edition AD&D has 25 dexterity. hard to hit that bitch with a weapon Image.

i dont know the "need" bioware felt when they decided to put the slayer in the game. i mean its like god mode cheat. it ruins the fun in a way but nm...
these are just my opinions

The Slayer isn't *that* poowerful. A well balanced drow party or 2 illithids can kill him straight away.

Irenicus' alignment is CG at some times during the game because his stats. are the same as Elminster's who is CG, so Elminster's CRE file was copied when they created Irenicus and they forgot to change his alignment (and race.) This is one of the bugs I fixed because it does affect the gameplay/player: casting Protection From Evil doesn't do squat if your opponent isn't of evil alignment.

Well, i speak what i see Image
I may be wrong about con, but when your protagonist kensai(7)/mage(16) turns to Slayer, you see

STR 25
DEX 25
....
AC -16
Base THAC0 0
Main hand THAC0 -9
Off hand THAC0 -10
...
Saving throws:
Paralyze/Poison/Death: -2 (-12)
Rod/Staff/Wand: -2 (-9)
Petrify/Polymorph -2 (-9)
Breath Weapon: -3 (-12)
Spells: -2(-8)
...
Armor class Modifiers
Missile:-1
...
Ability bonuses
To Hit: +7
Damage: +14
Open Doors: 80
Weigh Allowance: 1600
Armor Class: -6
....
Resistance
Magic:40

Jon is something different, yes, his Slayer have CON only 24 (my kensai have 18 normal), but he have HP 212, and all saving throws are 2, resistance to magic is 50 and base AC is -4!

And, if to make your life easier your spellcasting abilities are disabled (item granted and innate (kai) still accessible, though), i guess from his script he still may use his spells to make your life more interesting Image

May your Protection from Evil never wear off,
L.

Kevin, did I miss that file correcting Irenicus' alignment, or is it only part of the big bugfix file?
