Ahh, thanks for the advice.

Fortunately, my eczema doesn't bother me to the extent it used to, I still have it but it's not really concentrated enough to make my skin sore like it used to.
One thing that used to bug me was the seeming ineffectiveness of Eumovate, it did nothing to help reduce the pain or the need to scratch the affected area, even if it did help to help the affected area a bit quicker.
The way the drugs are handed out is probably a global thing too.
I know my grandparents had Dermovate, which was a steroid that was too strong for me, I think. Though that stuff would have been more effective than the Eumovate.

bah, drug addicted hippies, i stopped taking my meds once I realized they didnt help, though none of them were for esczema or asthma, no mine were more, internal, problems. Mainly ADD, Acid Reflux, and IBS.
For the ADD i was medicated between the fourth and ninth grades, but stopped taking it after last year because it made me depressed and did not help me focus.
Acid meds were in response to the ulcer I had in my duedynm(sp?) (upper intestines) that came about as a result of a poor diet and family history. (I was nine at the time, it was wierd)
The IBS was caused by stress and I think some acid issues as well.
Summary: Aging Hippies arent cool, go back under the rocks form which ye came!

I have heard before that acupuncture can greatly help both conditions.... I saw a clinic here on the web that looked very good, and they seem to specialise in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, I'll look at the cash/flow situation (conventional doctor's visits are free here, but alternative health is not covered) and investigate this..

Good to hear you aren't really bothered much anymore.

Yeah... I used to take betnovate....
The miracle drug for skin.. Until you've taken too much...

They used to dole that stuff out like candy without any thought at all..

Well, my wife is a therapist and according to her, ADD is the second most prolific mis-diagnosed condition out there (second to Bi-polar I believe). And if you don't actually have ADD the medications for it will actually make your symptoms worse. Can't anyone now-a-days just be a hyper little f***? Why is it always a "condition"?

I can answer this quickly before filling my face

Basically, all of these creams contain cortisone (prednisone). You need this stuff in your body, and your body produces it naturally. But.. when you take it as a drug, your body stops producing it on its own.. which creates a dependency on the drug.

The side effects are basically stretch marks on the skin...
I have them in one or two places. I used to be self conscious about this, and avoided wearing some types pf clothing, but now I no longer care..

@DW, Ahh, right. I just looked it up myself. They're all corticosteroids according to what I read and a serious overdose of that Betnovate stuff could lead to symptoms of Cushing's.
I never remember any stretch marks from my treatment, though I probably wouldn't have cared and may have forgotten. *shrugs*

That's like the DISH Network manual I was trying to get help from.
