breeding grounds

Need help finding the dragon breeding grounds - got to arindale but however i try to go west, there seems to an unclimable hill in the way. Also does the arrow on the compass point to north when it swings or the direction of travel of the character.

To get to the breeding grounds, head north out of Arindale (past Elvithra's shop), down the short slope, and head west, then you'll find the passage to the breeding grounds. Just follow the mountain wall on your left.

Have at least 3 wards of fire (and a celestial skill of at least 6) even if you are planning on a hit & run to grab the egg. Have a number of Ice Shards, Ice Balls or similar spells with an arcane skill of at least 6, and at least one winter weapon (Dwarven Winter Axe, Shiruken's of Winter, Winter Dagger, etc.) if you intend to fight any of the drakes. Summon Banshee is also good because they too will throw ice at the drakes.

The arrow on the compass points in the direction that your character is facing.

if your one of those people who like to fight your way out of it your screwed man i think i died like 5 times before leaving but i decided it would be worth it in the end. to find the fire drakes you have to go up the mighty river then whenever you can take a left and use the map the box came with

the egg place is southern most tip of that place

i would suggest taking the left side of the area and just block the fire things that come at you
