Just curious, where did you go first?
Just wondering when you got out of the sewers, where did you go first?
Personally, I did a fast travel to deliver the Kings Amulet and then began exploring from there. Wasn't sure if there was a "first level" area to possibly focus in to build up levels before doing that though.

You can finish the quest with lvl 1 due to the leveling up system, though that's boring IMO. I went well exploring ... or into the wild - Vilverin was the first. Was fun really, found tons of stuff and places. I always get side-tracked exploring, that's the most fun for me.
And I walk everywhere.
And I walk everywhere.
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.
I went to Weynon Priory first too, although I slogged it out there manually. I think the Chorrol area is a nice place to start out
I pretty much did the Killing Fields quest and then continued on the main quest for a shortwhile. Found myself at Kvatch on the fifth day. I'm not meaning to rush through the main quest; but when roleplaying I like to observe the sense of urgency
"I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!"
Stumbled on the Sideways Cave, then visited the Imperial Market District to find merchants, then the priory, where I found an easy place to sleep and level up. I started questing the mage guild first when I realized I couldn't get into the academy. I reach every location on foot the first time I intend to visit there.

Checked out the Merchants sector of Imperial City, then decided to visit the Abbey. Instead of going onto Kvatch, however, I joined the Fighter and Mage guilds, and began working up those mage recommendations.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
I went to priory first and did a few more quest of the main storyline. After that it was time to do what any acrobat born under the thief sign would do, started making my way up in TG and became the new guild master and a vampire as well during that time.
Now I'm just making sure I feed regular and commit a murder here and there for the brotherhood. But mainly just exploring and making monehhhh

I went walking. I'm approaching level 16 right now and I've still to go to the priory.
Went straight for the Thieves Guild and did about every sidequest there was in Skingrad and Bruma...
I should start thinking about visiting the Priory asap. I'm stuck in an underground cave-thing to fetch an arrow from some mage for the Gray Fox.

I'm on my 5th character at the moment - I like playing around to get a feel for how to play the game - so I have done
1.the local cave and elven ruin
2. gone slaughterfish hunting to help an old fisherman,
3. gone straight to the Abbey and into the MQ at Kvatch where I closed the Oblivion Gate,
4. and just generally mooched around Imperial City and Chorrol doing stuff for the Mage Guild... etc, etc.
I have been confused, uncertain, puzzled; decided I hated the game; given up... and started over yet again.
I never feel quite sure I'm making the 'right' choices... but I'm beginning to feel I can actually enjoy it if only the darn thing would stop crashing, freezing, and corrupting or losing my saves.

The Imperial City Market District. I went and got myself some new duds.
