Couple of questions

Post by Project-404 »

Hello everybody...
I've bought this game just a couple of days ago and I found this forum...
I thought that i could perhaps ask you a few questions...
1.) What is best for me to do: Go to the devils' marsh (for the magic guild initiation quest) or to go to Arindale... (I got the letter from Devinmore and the Horn so I'm supposed to go and see Emmindor)
2.) I have got a strength rating of 25 but when I want to carry a Grim Shield I get penalty -2 (so I don't wear it), why do I get penalty and is that because my medium shield skill might be too low.
3.) Same as 2 but with the Chainmail armour (Chest and legs) that they sell in Fargrove.
If any of these questions aren't allowed then just tell me so.
P.S.: Yup, I sure am a n00b!!!

1. It's probably best to do your class quest first.

2&3. Equipment has strength and skill requirements. If you get a penalty, then you need one or the other.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Thanks!!!

Thank you, now I got a better Idea of what I should do next and how to invest my exp.
Oh yeah, one more question: Where should you recommand a level 8 character to train? Is there some place where Trolls come one by one?

If you have CE, the spawn rate has returned from what it was in the first version. Just about anywhere will give you plenty of fighting by setting difficulty to medium or high. Until you have business with the tree guards, isle of damned, and shadow ruins, stay away from battlefields of the dead. After you leave shadow ruins, you have no choice but to travel south through the battlefields where opposition spawns several times in large groups.
