Boy, I just found a ring of night-eye with constant effect. I am liking this already in the first ten seconds.

it's the dungeon/cave crawlers best friend... that and the detect life helmets

detect life hemlmets are fun at first but get staggeringly annoying in dark dungeons as it completely obscures what little view you have of the bad guy leaving you guessing exactly what type of baddie your facing... does night eye not effect your stealth ability then?
