Multiplayer Problems
The only connection problem I have in Multi player is hosting them. Because I use a router to connect through cable my firewall on the router does not let me host a game but I can join them no problems. My main problem in multi player games here is the elevators or platforms that raise you up to another level. No matter what I try I always fall through them because of the lag

Its a snap if you are using a major brand router for your broadband connection. This is not going to fix your falling thru stuff/broken quests/etc issues.
Log in to your router with a username and password. How to do it depends on the manufacturer. Consult your documentation. Then look for port forwarding settings. Again depends on manufacturer. Then forward port 2606(?) to the IP address of YOUR PC. Should be like 192.168.1.something. This tells your router that any traffic (data) destined TO that port FROM whoever you are playing with should go straight to your PC which is hosting the game do not pass Go do not collect 200$.
This is for the direct IP multiplayer game. Not sure how GameSpy or LAN work.

Then how would that work if you had two computers on the same router who wanted to host different games at the same time?

You'd need a more powerful switch/router than a residential router. You would have to use access lists and there are several possibilities. None pleasant. Why multiple hostings behind one router? If I may ask

When My roomies and I all want to play different games online If it ever comes up that way. I've also discovered how to get past the being dropped through eleveators do to extreme lag in some games. Once everything is killed off save the game at the lift with everyone in it. Then the ones with the problems of falling through exit the game the host goes up the lift and resaves the game up top then exits and restarts with the last saved spot at the top of the lift where everyone else can join with last multi saved pc and no lost experience.
