I was released shortly after FF7. It was based in a more traditional story line.
Basic plot, PC, Ramza Beolouve, disowns his family. Becomes a rebel, gets intwined in a plot to over thorugh a kingdom, finds out chruch is the true culprit, and to end, he finds out the church is trying to revive a dead god named... (can't remember, it'll come to me later) But, Cloud is a hidden char. in it. Lots of cool spell affects, based in an isometric camaera viwe which can be moved. Long story, four chapters. Very deep plot. All in all, one hell of a fine game. Unfortuneatly, Square has recently canceled game production of it, and is now considered a rare find, which perplexes me because it was one of the best selling FF games. Oh well, if you ever do find it, play it. You won't be dissapointed with it.
For any other information of classic console RPG's, feel free to ask. I'm just a bank of all the classics!
P.S. (This is not intended to be a bad message) If your interested in playing all of the classics, go find an emulator. It is considered to be illigeal for the newer systems, but for NES, SNES, Genisis, and any other old consoles, no one in the bizz cares anymore.

@Carrot: Kind've both. When I was younger, I played every RPG I could get my hands. Most of those consisted of Square Soft games (the best in console RPG's). In addition, I would play the game until I had discovered every secret, and every special ability. So, I not only played them all almost, but I'm a hardcore RPG gamer.
@Can't remember at the moment: Unfortuneatly, no. I don't own FFT, but I wish I did. It was actually my friends game and system that I would borrow. But ya, it was one hell of a game, and I did find Cloud. Weasel... Who was the other character that appears, if I saw that person, I can't remember...

Heh if ff 11 finally releases it would be great if any of you two could play to. I mean if i can then I don't mind if i play with anyone. I maybe could even tolerate Weasel but that would hard. He Aegis is this were you got your name or do you just find it a cool name. Aegis was a heck of a shield at ff3 on the game boy. He did any of you two ever get the paladin shield in ff3 on the snes.

Was clous good in the game or was he just as strong as in 7. Where he sucked until he got ultima weapon. In ff7 my game had crashed at least 20 times. It always was in the part in the dream sequence where you had Tifa as leader. After 30 min of playing would lock up and there wasn't a save point in the middle of the sequence. btw did you get the underwear from tifa's closet. GB will be intersted right now.

As for Cloud in FF tactics he wasn't the best, but I kept him with me till the end of the game.

Yeah right no one will ever trust you Weasel. Why do you think they never asked if you would become a moderator. Nobody likes you.

The best two chars. in FFT were Orlandu, and Agrias! Both were Holy Knights, and could whoop the crap out of anyone. I remember seeing Aeris now, can't remember where, but I remember. I thought Cloud sucked in that game, he could only use his limits when equiped with the Materia blade, but that was such a sh!tty sword! Oh well, the other more then made up for it.

I thought so almost always the secret chars have **** stats but really good special albilities. Could Cloud also use his ultimate limitbreak omnislash. Was kinda cool although Squall's Lionheart was 10 times better. 15 times 4000 damage. Or Squall's lionheart 25 times 9999 damage. I kicked Ultimecia's ass with just one kick. Too bad that she changed a lot of times.

Yes they were. I keep Cloud just because of FF. Aeris was part of the quest to get Cloud. Some thugs were beating her up.Originally posted by Aegis:

You mean Chrono trigger right. Still play that one. I never finished it. I play secret of mana2, Chrono trigger, ff5 and bg2 now. They are all great games. ff5 is kinda strange in the ff series. You switch from chars that already are something. ff4 headchar paladin. His girlfriend white wizard. Never finished that one either. End boss is real good. ff6 had a really easy boss.
