Is there any way to see the actual value of a NPC influence during the game? Currently I am viewing the actual value in my save game editor, so I have to save, jump out of game, into editor & view.
On a side note, someone mentioned seeing numbers for opening locks & such, but I don't recall where that is viewed.
Are these 2 related in a game setting I have yet to locate?
Thanks
Walter

To your first question, I believe the answer is no; the only way of getting numerical values is the one you described. A rough check can be done by comparing their alignment to yours (providing you have a clear alignment, of course); the closer theirs is to yours, the more INF you have.
To the second one, you need to go to your journal, choose 'Messages Log and then choose 'Feedback'. You'll see something like [Name] rolled [number] versus [number], the latter number being the numerical value of the lock or mine.

I do find it frustrating at times to trust the good / bad bar to see the influnece of others. I believe it gives a false rep of the NPC. [/QUOTE]
Plus, of course, it doesn't help with Kreia, whose alignment is always neutral no matter what.
One method I use is to keep a small notebook by my 'puter and make a note of how many times I've gained INF with each character, with another page for how many times I have to gain INF before [thing] will happen (worked out from trial and error). But it's a nuisance, and in addition, though I can't prove it, I suspect INF, like Alignment, may come in different sized portions...
