does anyone know if there is a way to disable certain spell animations? when i try to use the main altars in the temple and cult places it has a tendency to cause my video card to crash (the message says my drivers failed). i have fully updated drivers and its only certain animations that cause it (and doesn't happen on the altars in the tombs for some reason). i currently quicksave before attempting to use altars and about 75% of the time they cause a crash so I'm even considering making a special ring that blinds me when worn so i can use that when i activate the altars, but it would be so much easier if i could just turn those animations off.
i get the usual crash to desktops that everyone else seems to get (judging by the search i did) but this is different and very specific as it crashes my whole system and always when doing the same thing.
i've tried reinstalling - i just simply don't use the main altars anymore. its not too much of a prob. think its more my video card being useless than anything else lol, even though it should be able to handle morrowind easily
