HELP!!!!!!!!! I screwed myself in the hall of elders.
Speaking of fathien tomb, how do I get there? Do I have to kill the elder archer, which seems to be a never ending fight? Which is where all the ruined pillers are. I keep hitting him over and over. Ill go through all my spells, throwing daggers to death, and using all my potions to heal.. How can I kill him faster? Am I able to get up there somehow instead of the out of melee combat? The worst part is I saved the game right before entering the elders judging room. What a set up!

Trial of the Elders
There is a way to do it...
Find the shortest broken pillar, face it and jump, you'll climb up onto it. Then jump across the pillars to an open alcove. There are a couple of items in those alcoves I think. Regardless, get to the pillar directly in front of the alcove where the elder is. I think most of the time, if you position yourself right, he'll think you are too far away to launch a ranged attack at you, and also too far away to melee attack. You can, if your weapon has a long enough reach, just stand there and hit him with your melee weapon until he is dead. Sometimes you'll knock him back so far he will attack you again, but eventually he'll walk forward and just stand there, again.
He's worth quite a few experince points, you'll be able to significantly increase your skills/attributes. See the walktrhough section under elven lands, it explains everything.
Good luck!
Any help from anyone with my issue would still be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I read on what I need to do in the last trail(fire) but how do I use the resurrection scroll to revive myself with no costs?
You can't. All you can do is press yer revive key (default "r") and get up. You will lose all yer saved adv points, at a minimum. there is a supposition that you may lose some stats as well, but I haven't seen that happen.

Trust me....you lose stats everytime you revive. I have even watched the numbers go down when I push "R".

The best thing to do is quit & reload a previous save (hopefully you are saving very often and using all the slots).
At least you should have the Crystal of Life or a Ressurection Scroll by now, which you can use instead of "Revive" (R key). You'll still lose your advancement points, but you won't lose any stats. The good news is you can spend your advancement points (at least prior to CE version) before you resurrect yourself so you really don't lose anything.

Yeah, but that is if you use the R key. To use a resurection scrol, hit E after you die, and click the scroll from your inventory. Be aware that whatever was fighting you and started walking away will come right back after you. The celestial Life Crystal works the exact same way, except it will slowly recharge. If you don't have a crystal or scroll, restore you last save. Don't ever use the R key, it simply isn't worth it. Save before you do anything risky, or after reaching any goal.
Hi.Can you help me?I don't know what to do in the trial of fire. What i must to do???And sorry for my broken english
You have to kill the spirits until they stop coming. There will be a few waves of archers and knights, then the masters, who are much tougher and cast. It's extremely intense; I think I used over 50 heal potions in there, and a few resurrection scrolls, as well as my Life Crystal. If you see the fireballs coming down from above, get the heck out of the way, and try to manuever so when that pest wizard throws them at you, he at least takes out some spirits for you. Avoid the pillars of fire, and if you can back an enemy into them it helps as well. Don't stay in any one spot for more than a few seconds, or you are going to get fireballed. Those things hurt .

This section is a [pain] if you do not have a second tier class or both of your second tier classes, it is easy all the way up to the fire room. But luckily there is another solution, if you have a bunch of potions of power and blades of baal, you can do serious damage and kill them fast. The trick is to kill the fast and stay standing on one of the spawn points, because then they wont be able to swarm you and you limit the spawn numbers from 3- 2 and eventually from 1-0, so its not that bad, by the time a attempted this, i was a lvl 8 or 9 Fighter/Mage/Valkeryie/Imperial which is a path I seriously recomend if you like polarms and or melee fights.
No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country.
He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country." - quote from Genral Patton

But, if you stand on a spawn point, that delays the elevators from activating, and it can take several minutes. If you just duke it out, it only takes 4 or 5 minutes.

I went in there kind of blind, and just ran around like a crazy person and chugged a loto of potions. I think the wizard did more damage to the spirits than I did. Next time around, if I try again with another character, I would:
1) Put up a fire ward before entering the room.
2) Use Blade of Baal to take out the first few relatively easy waves.
3) As soon as the Master Spirtis come out, start casting as many Blast Nova's or Fire Novas as I have available.
4) Refresh Blade of Baal as available for clean up work - the key here is speed. If you take too long killing waves, the next wave just adds to the mess and you get overwhelmed.
5) Still run around like a crazy. The wizard can be a real help here, especially if you have a fire ward up and he's not hurting you as much.
6) Chug a potion as soon as I drop below half health. A few fireball stuns from the wizard, even with a ward, can be deadly fast.
I wouldn't go in there with less than 3-5 Blades of Ball, 3-5 fire wards, and 100 health potions. I did this originally without any Nova spells (used them up earlier in the trials), so I wouldn't call them critical, but they sure would have helped. It's a good idea not to use up all your magic in the earlier trials; this one is by far the toughest. The bosses are all optional, but use up a lot of resources ... if you are short of any of the essentials, the extra XP from killing a boss won't do you any good if you can't survive the last room.
