Expulsion *Spoilers*

I was going on my merry way while looting a small fortress for a theives guild quest when along came this wizard to thwart my sneaky plans. As the quest giver had given me the Ok to remove this particular character from Cyrodil in any way I saw fit, I promptly incenerated him. Before the flames on his corpse had even begun to die out, I recieved an update for a new quest in my journal. I had been expelled for killing a member of the Mages Guild. Oh well, said I, Ill just have to trot on up to the jolly old University and pay a little fine and be on my merry magical way. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Upon entering the University's lobby, and apologizing profusely to the man who seemed to be in charge, he promptly set me a task, a very difficult task with which I need the help of the most brilliant and sharpest of minds. His task was this: I need to collect twenty samples of Vampire Dust, and twenty Daedra's Hearts. The Daedra's hearts will not be a problem as I have about six Gates marked on my map for future closing, however, Vampires are sneaky little Devil's and have proved extremely difficult to locate, as of yet I have only procured one sample of this most precious of dusts. Any tips or hints on the locations of Vampires?

I believe I encountered 2 vampires in the process of completing the mini-quest that the (now former ) grand champion of the arena gives you.

If it is the first time you are expelled (sounds like it), you can actually forget about the dusts. There is a bug in this quest: both the mage and your journal say you need dusts *and* hearts, when it really is dusts *or* hearts. The mage should accept either.

Thanks, that should make my life a little bit easier, although I have encountered a society in which I am being contracted by a bunch of old Hoagies (and I think one of them is Fable :speech: ) to track down and eliminate Vampires that they suspect in the Imperial City.

Southeast of Skingrad you can find Bloodcrust Cavern, I don't know vampires will reside there even without the count giving you the quest to eliminate them. If you are archmage, you can

use your replication chest to make 20 vampire ashes, maybe even if you are not archmage. Just collect one Vampire Dust and put it in the "Enchanted Chest" and 24 hours later you've got 11 pieces of the same item!
