Familiar Scroll?
Familiar Scroll?
Is it in any way possible (without cheating) to receive the familiar scroll in Irenicus dungeon? Could you maybe receive it as a random scroll from an dead enemy or are all items you find set?
Also would I like to know if the game really becomes "insane" if you set the difficult level to it. Once I installed the expansion for BG 1, I changed the difficulty level from normal to hardest and honstley I didn't feel that much of a change. My paladin character (which I plan to import and turn into a inquistor) got good stats (STR: 19, DEX: 19, CON: 19, INT: 13, WIS: 21, CHA: 19) and I do also plan to use the "keep your equipment" glitch. I just can't break up with my old stuff

Well first off it's pretty random the drops in irenicus' dungeon, some of the goblins might drop one, but other than that I don't think there are others..
Secondly, Imo I don't think it's insanely difficult too play on insane, I think it all depends on whether you are new to the game or you are a hardcore gamer who knows most tactics, so go ahead and give it a try

No, the insane difficulty doesn't change much. It's still easy.
IWD II is the only Black Isle game that I've played where you can feel a drastic change in difficulty when you set the difficulty to insane (Heart of Fury rather).

Well I actually haven't got that option as my imported character is paladin (and will become an inquisitor). So to obtain the "ultimate item storage" I'll have to use potion/scroll trick. By the way is the Pseudo Dragon able to steal? If not I maybe have to use the helmet of opposite alignment and thereafter the potion trick to obtain the Quasit instead.
EDIT: Ohh...are only cats and ferrets able to use pickpocket? Might there still be way for my inquistor to get his hands on one of those?

Any character can have a familiar.
In addition to monsters doing double damage, some encounters are keyed to experience of the party, while some encounters are keyed to the difficulty level (or perhaps just elements of the encounter, e.g. number is determined by difficulty and hit dice determined by experience. just a guess).

Right you are, Ken.
