Dark Brotehrhood-Is it worth it?(possible spoilers)

WEll i've managed to get fairly far in the quests...but the further i go the worse it seems to get...i mean..these kills are jsut so cruel!

What do you guys think? is being a part of the brotherhood really worth it?(for somone who prefer honerXP)

The brotherhood is meant to be a more sadistic, cruel organization. It is worth it if you are playing a silent assassin type. However if you are going the more Holy Paladin route, then dont join the brotherhood.

i found the brother hood quests to be fun and quite easy. You often get magical weapons for the bonus. Which I belive can very helpful in the early parts of the game. The brotherhood is a good place to start. when you finish the brother hood quests you get a salary every week which is nice.

It is icky. Basically I usually play the good guys, but I would recommend you go through the DB at least once - if you've already started, I'd do it now then - because you are missing a significant part of game play if you don't.

On a side note, ickiness aside, I am finding the DB quest to be the most fun of all so far, the rest are too routine.

i always tend to be more of the honerable theif type hehe. As far as i have dont eh dark brotherhood quests though they defintly are unqiue. jsut been a few(the one currently i'ma t) that are kinda jsut like eek! o.o

I played DB quests - seriously fun and interesting quests. However i restarted with another character as it just doesn't make sense to me to kill everyone for no reason and then try to help other people or join other guilds. But if you played the game as a good guy and want something interesting DB is the way to go... become a vampire too ; P.

Last note would be if you, as a player don't think that it is OK to kill people for fun or profit, it might feel a bit wrong to play the DB quests. But its just a game after all, so play on.

I myself loved the DB quests. I got to actually put my stealth dark elf to use. The really only thing is that if you do to much in just the TG and DB you end up like me and have a 60 fame and 72 infamy and people don't like you much. No idea why or if there is a way to get the infamy down. But I'd have to say that the DB have bean the best quests from start to finish so far ameans I am only about 1/2 way done with the MG and FG and got really annoyed with how long it took to complete the last quest for the TG. As said by others if you are against killing, stay out of it, but if you like just playing everything in a game they have REALLY good quests.

DB is cool

DB is kinda cool, i like to bee a assassin so it's fun, but i find it hard to piclock the doors(hard) sins im not a high lvl(lvl 12 spellsword)hehe.

if u like to be the good one then the fighters/ mages guild is good for you, or just help people in town.

well not even the fighters and the mages guild quests can all be described as moral....well perhaps in comparison to the other guild quests but still, both involve genocide of one form or another (well at least the killing of people purely for their associations rather than their actions)

I have a few continuity issues with the dark bro. storyline, but overall I did find it one of the most entertaining storylines and a nice change of pace from the other guild quests.

KaiSardone it would be great if you came back after completing the storyline, tell us if you yourself felt it was worth it

Few observations so far.

Well so far i'm still not to sure, I've gotten pretty far in the quests. I mean its nice to have some differnt quests, but as somone whos already head theif and pretty stealthy(XP) the tasks arn't particulary hard and at this point 500 gold for a few killings isnt really much worth to me. Already bought the skingrad house and all its goodies have 3 horses(including a 5k black one) and still have like 14k or so leftXP.

So overall i'm not really benefiting in anyway from them as far as goodies or gold, but if your a quest nut like me and dont mind the infamy then may as well go for it=p

One thing that is EXTREMLY annoying though...i've had 2 quests that its been near impossible to avoid a bounty. the second guy I had troubles with I found if I paraed him(that was tough to find a pot good enough) long enough/was chamelon and invis befor he could get me(he was asleep) I woudlnt get a bounty. but otherwise I would. With the same quest had that issue as well, although my para(couldnt find more potions! ><) didnt last long enough to finish the job(not sure if would have worked anyway) even worse though instead of the usual 40 gold bounty it would be 1k-1400 bounty! which isnt that big of a deal for me at this point..but still..VERY annoying.

Edit: Gotten a bit further in the quests, DEFINTLY worth doing if you like interesting quests. really has some interesing twists o.o
