Ok, here's the deal, just started playing, enjoying myself immensely but now something odd happens.
I've convinced Jeantte to "kill" Therese and it should be all good, but its not.
After she tells me where Tung is hiding and that the feud is off, I try to leave the 2nd floor, but I cant interact with the elevator.
I tried talking to Jeanette again, nothing happens, tried to mess with the computers, nothing happens.
What on earth am I doing wrong?

Mislabeling your thread, and not putting SPOILER in the title, per the sticky thread helpfully called PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING, for starters.
I've changed the title accordingly. In the future, please remember that SPOILER designation, or your threads will be pulled.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Sounds like a map error. You're not doing anything. Quickest way out of this is to open the console and enter the code noclip, which will allow you to move through walls and doors. Get out Jeanette's room, enter noclip into the console again to turn it off, and you should be fine.
If you don't know what I'm talking about when I refer to the console, search this forum. What it is and how to use it has been discussed many times. If you can't find it, I'll post instructions for you.

I guess it's just me......
I guess it's just me... but usually on the final quest in santamonica before finding Betram, if you choose to side with one or both sisters they will tell you where bertram is hiding then you get the XP points after which the game automatically loads your game outside Asylum's club. No?
It has always happenned to me so I don't know about having to take the elevator down. Are you sure you didn't talk to someone in he club before going to see the sisters? I did it once and then Therese would point the gun but she would never talk. It was as if the game were frozen.

You have to bring the console up and close it again while in the menu screen. When you want to enter a code, just press Esc to bring up the menu, use the console to enter the code. Close the console again then press Esc to return back to your game. If you do it in the game itself it will just crash.

Maybe something different.......
As a last resort Arma, you could try doing the dinner quest over again then going back to Asylum and talking to the sisters.
- Make sure you don't talk to anyone or perform any other action but going to the elevator, and talking to the sisters. If you do this again (and erase the part of the game that is flawed) there is a great chance that the bug will not show up again. The only time your game may continue, is if it automatically loads your game into the santamonica hub.
Good luck Arma,
Hope you can continue your game (it really sucks when the game becomes bugged. personal experience

Thank you all for your help, I finally caved in and faced the fact that I might have to re-do all of Santa Monica.
I re-installed, patched, both official and unofficial and when I finally came to the "problem area" the game froze for about 2 minutes and then continued on (thank God)
If this had been any other game I would have dumped it like yesterdays trash, but Ive been intrigued from the sec I started playing.
So far im in Hollywood, and the bugs seem to be taking a break, thx for your help again lads
