I've been playing "Scratches" and "Half Life 2" for the last week. Finished both games yesterday. HL2 kicks ass. I'm not a fan of first person shooters, but I simply couldn't stop playing.

"Scratches" is totally different. An old school adventure game. The riddles were nice and challenging - but more difficult than the riddles was finding the riddles. I was walking around in circles about billion times because I overlooked something trivial and simply didn't know what to do next. These parts were rather frustrating.

Right now I don't play any game. I thought of installing Max Payne 2 which I've yet to play although I bought it a year ago. But I haven't finished the prequel, how can I play the sequel then!?

I could buy Oblivion. Now that I have internet again it wouldn't be all that hard to get those 1000 mods which are needed to make it enjoyable. But I don't want to support Bethesda for digging out another raw diamond and leaving the polishing to the modding community.

I liked Scratches - but agree there was loads of hunting for clues to puzzles.

I just finished Etrom: The Astral Essence - pretty awful action-RPG ... just awful.

Also just finished SiN: Episodes Emergence - 6 hours for $18, not bad, really. The difficulty (supposedly adaptive) ramped *fast* in the latter stages.

Still playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Spellforce 2.

All on PC.

On the PSP, just finished Untold Legends The Warrior's Code.

On the DS been plucking weeds in my neglected Animal Crossing game furing my son's weekly piano lesson hte last couple of weeks ;)

Oh, I just realized that I totally forgot to mention how much I liked the game. It *was* quite enjoyable and totally worth the 20 Euro my father paid ;) .

I bought Vampires: Bloodlines today. From all I know I'll be spending the rest of the day with hunting for patches and stuff. We'll see. But it's a game I wanted to play since its release, and from what I heard it should be worth the effort.

Let's see games i currently have installed:
  • World of warcraft - One of the most timeconsuming games ever released. It should be banned :D
  • Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe - A modified version of transporttycoon, makes a great game even better (if you are intrested look for OpenTTD on the internet)
  • Frasse and the Peas of Kejick - A free adventure game
  • Civilization IV - Don't think this needs an explanation
  • Darwinia - A great indipendant game
  • Warcraft 3 - I wanted to relife the storyline of the warcraft series
This is it for the moment,
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

Right now, I'm playing Half Life 2. As what someone said before, one of the creepiest parts of the game is the Ravenholm stage. Just got past it at last this morning.

Might give Gothic or some other RPGs a go when I have the time just to increase my RPG range.

The game just gets better and better after that ;) I didn't really like Ravenholm since I'm not one of these junkies who enjoys fear/aprehension.

Yup, can't agree more. In fact, that stage is really frustrating (and creepy too) until I started to miss fighting Combine soldiers while in Ravenholm and was thinking of kissing them in the face when I meet them:laugh:.

PSP

Monter Hunter Freedom - rather goods this, in spite of capricious controls and a wayward camera. at least partly because it is possible to do the whole thing solo as well as multiplayer.

Metal Gear Ac!d 2 - an improvement over the previous version, yes. still not as good as it could have been. not least because the boss arena mode is startlingly underwhelming.

PC

A variety of MUDs in the hope of finding one that is good, free, and doesn't arbitrarily destroy all your equipment when you disconnect.

Divine Divinity - still irritatingly unstable, but the skill system, free roaming and difficulty balance widdle over most click-em-ups around.

Sudden Strike 2 - meh, it's good. it's not vastly changed from the original, but I like the style.

PS2

Makai Kingdom - not sure whether it beats Disgaea. although it doesn't have some of the annoying features of its predecessor, the character skills are perhaps a little straightforward in comparison.
