Why isn't there a Heroes of Might and Magic discussion forum in here?
Or is this place only for RPGs and such?
I think that at least HoMM IV is starting to be a little RPGish.
BTW what do you think of the HoMM V demo?

Heroes of Might and Magic is not an RPG. HOMM IV is sure Rpgistic, yet not an RPG. People often argue about the boundaries of being an RPG, and Diablo, for example, is often called "shoddy marketing strategy". I wouldnt be offended by having HOMM here, and I would discuss it - I just think the forum might lose the RPG focus with that, cause th HOMM series has tons of paralel games, and I remember a HOMM based game that is more like a FPS than an RPG.
Havent played the demo.

Well I noticed that there's a warcraft series discussion here so why not a Homm discussion. But are there any supporters for a Homm forum here?

Then, my friend, only Buck will actually be able to help you. His marketing strategy may or may not involve that, and Warcraft has the WoW, which is a MMORPG of huge influence, while HOMM has not. And I think this belong at GB discussion, and your thread will be moved there as soon as the SYM mods see it.

Warcraft and Dragonshard are RPG/RTS hybrids, as mentioned by the title of their section. One has WoW and the other is based heavily on Eberron. Plus, Buck has probably played them himself, and since he is lord and master of the forum...
As for HoMM, I'm one person who has played a few of them, and I don't think they would need a dedicated forum anyways.

I've played all of em except the first one and they're some of my favorite games of all time particularly III which I think was the best in the series. II was great too and was the first Strategy game I ever played, but III was quite possibly the most addictive game I've ever played rivaled only by one of the Civilizations. Didn't like IV very much, fortunately V is looking excellent.
