Chu mentioned in my custom race thread that he would rather stay away from any mod that is not lore-specific. This reminded me of something I have often wondered about...
Do you think it is necessary to remain within the game's "established" lore when creating/using mods?
Personally, as long as a mod isn't *too* weird or at odds with the game, I don't really think it matters. I mean, this *is* fantasy after all. The game world was created by Bethesda, so it is not as though we are talking about real life history here. Thus, why shouldn't modders stretch the 'boundaries' that have been manufactured by the game's producers? It's all fantasy, regardless.....
Thoughts?
