House Dagoth Cup
allright im playing through the main quest, the warrior test for the prohpecy, only problem is i visited kogruhn early, so i have the shadow shield, and the corpus weepings, but i sold the house dagoth cup a long time ago, and i killed the buyer for another quest, and his body is gone and i cant get the cup back, so any advice? is there a way to get another house dagoth cup or is my game just screwed?

That depends on your platform....
If you are on PC, you can use the console to edit it in. If you are on XBox, I'm afraid you are definitely screwed...

Or... there is the quick route which bypasses a good chunk of the main quest, but still allows you to beat it.
Also... most of us here have restarted Morrowind *many* times.. Since the game is so open-ended, and therefore highly replayable, starting again isn't really all that tedious.

Okay, so I'm in the same boat as insaneone6. I went to Kogruhn early, and sold the cup to someone who I can't find now. I've searched for hours and hours and am going mad looking for it? I'm on a PC, so how can I use the console to edit it in? I'm not sure what you mean. Do I have to use the construction set or something? HELP! I think it's beacuse I'm on a lap top, so the tilde button doesn;t do anything... I tried every key on the dang keyboard, and nothing works. Is there a way to do it in the construction set or something?dragon wench wrote:That depends on your platform....

In the construction set select the 'Misc Item' tab in the Object Window.
Scroll down until you find misc_goblet_dagoth
In the Cell View Window select a cell, Balmora, Guild of Mages for Example
Double click on one of the NPCs, Galbedir for instance.
You should be able to drag the goblet into the Render Window (it should be labeled 'Balmora, Guild of Mages')
Once you have the goblet in the window press the F key, this causes the object to fall to the ground.
Save your work, giving your new plugin a distinctive name.
Select your plugin in the Data Files, and you should now find a goblet in that cell sitting on the floor.

When the construction set is loaded, eithe click on 'File' in the menu bar, then data files, or click on the yellow folder icon.
This opens a dialog box which lists all the available plugins; make sure the box next to Morrowind.ESM has a cross in it, this may take a couple of clicks in the box.
Click on OK, all the spreadsheets should now be filled.

Well It worked, sort of. I loaded the dagoth cup into balmora, but when I brought it to Matuul, he still just keeps saying bring me the 3 tokens. I have the corpus weepings and the shadow sheild, and now I have the cup. but he won;t take it. It's weird too because I remember what the cup looked like from kogurhn. It was black and had red spikey looking things on the sides coming down. the cup I loaded on the construction set didn;t look like that at all. So I don;t know what to do now. I guess I can just keep looking for the person I sold it to... It's gonna be a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGG search. unless anyone has any other suggestions.
If you have this entry in your journal:
Note there are two items that are called House Dagoth Cup, the one you need has the ID misc_goblet_dagoth as stated earlier, not the one with the ID misc_de_goblet_04_dagoth.
And are in possession of the three items Sul-Matuul should accept them.Sul-Matuul has given me the following quest. Go to Kogoruhn, the ancient halls of House Dagoth. Get three tokens: 1. corprus weepings from a corprus beast, 2. a cup with the mark of House Dagoth, and 3. the Shadow Shield, which lies on the Tomb of Dagoth Morin, in the lava tunnels deep beneath ruined Kogoruhn. If I bring him these three tokens, he will reveal to me the secret of the Third Trial of the Nerevarine.
