Question About Screenshots

Post by Frisco Kid »

Hi there :)

Okay, so I know how to take screenshots, no problem. My question is as follows: Is there a way to get a full body shot of my character without having the character menu in the shot? As far as I know, the only way to bring up a shot of my character is by bringing up the menu (I'm on a PC, so that's the TAB key), and then clilcking and dragging the mouse to zoom in or out. So I can take a screenshot like that, but I'd have the menu there on the left. And that's just not very attractive at all :(

I'd appreciate any help anyone has to offer.

Hold down the "R" key and move your mouse around. You can even Zoom in and out on your character, too. :)

Here's my current character:

Sweet, I'm gonna try that tonight. Sorry, was that in the manual? I'm gonna feel like an ass if it was. I could swear it's not, though. I mean, obviously I knew about hitting R to go to 3rd person view, but I didn't know about holding it down.

Thanks!

Well, I'm going to go ahead and admit my stupidity. How do you take screenshots in Oblivion? Everything I've tried has just opened different menu windows or messed up my game.

The following was written by Denethorn, which I found in a different thread:

You have to enable an ini setting

In your My Documents, there should be a folder called My Games. Within it another folder called Oblivion and within that should be a file 'Oblivion.ini'.

Open it with notepad, and find "bAllowScreenShot=0", change it to "bAllowScreenShot=1" and Print Screen should work and write a screenshot in your Oblivion install directory.

Enjoy!
