Knights of the Thorn (Spoilers)

Post by UncleScratchy »

Outside Cheydinhal is a lodge for the Knights or Order of the Thorn. I can go in and I'm welcomed as a new member but I don't remember ever getting this honor. Nor does it show up on my list of guilds joined unlike the Knighthood you can get from the duke/prince of Bravil for getting rid of the Blackbow Gang. Anyone know what it takes to become a Knight of the Thorn? Is there a quest/mission you are given or was it an honorary thing for helping the town to get rid of the corrupt guard captain?

They are headed by Farwil Indarys, and the membership comes as a reward for completing the Wayward Knight quest, if Farwil is returned safely.
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

Thanks, but I don't recall this person or the quest. Do you have an entry on the tab for guilds/memberships for the Thorn? If so, then I've not done it yet and the guy in the lodge is acting glitchy.

It might be related to the main quest. If you already destroyed the Gate near Cheydinhal and rescued a prisoner there, you might have solved the wayward knight quest without noticing.

Right on the spot.

Once you get the quest from Jeuffry (spelling??) where you need to get all Counts all over the game to send troops to aid Bruma leads to the quests where you need to shut down the gates just outside the towns before the Counts agree to send aid.
Inside the Plane of Oblivion outside Cheydinhal you will find the Counts son, and have him follow you until the end.

Once the gate is closed he makes you a member to his knight guild, wether you like it or not :)

Thanks to everyone who posted for the info. I'm an extreme procrastinator when it comes to this type of open end RPG. I didn't go to Kvatch until I was about level 35 or so. I'm trying to do every other quest I can find before launching into the main quest any further (just got the 4th book and stopped there). I found in MW that once I did the main quest I'd lose interest in the game. Just have to finish two more daedric shrine quests and a couple more mage guild quests. Which reminds me, are there quests associated with City Swimmer or Falanu Hlaalu? Both have rumors about them concerning there mysterious wanderings.

Talk to Falanu Hlaalu ... I think it was with her that you get some very interesting conversation. No quests that I know of though, for either of them.
