Books and Clues

Post by caffeinetripp6 »

Now, is there really any point to having the books? Do they really do anything, or are they just there for our amusement and to make a library out of?

Secondly, I seem to be missing Treasure Clue 3, but I don't think that I can get it, seeing as I need to be doing the quest I believe, and, well, the game's done. I'm just running around Albion killing earth trolls, hobbes, bandits and what have you. *Shrugs.*

You can get rewards out of the books by handing them over to the headmaster in Bowerstone South.

The books are divided into 2 categories. One group is good and the other evil. In fact, if you search around the gamebanshee walkthrough, they'll list down what books are in what category.

When you donate a collection of books in the evil category, you get a reward of a dark will user hat. Same goes for the good books except that you'll get a bright user hat.

As for the treasure clue, I think that the location of these clues are found in the gamebanshee walkthrough. Search it.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

I think its only in Fable: the Lost Chapters. The book quest, I mean. About viewing the books, are you sure you can view them after you donate them?

Many of the books can be found twice, and the the books you find in the Guild Library and Maze's Study are always there you can pick them up over and over again...

Thanks for clearing things up

Thank you for the hints. The next time I play Fable: TLC, I might give it a try.
