Magica stopped regenerating

Post by Stormthrower »

For reasons I can not figure out, my magica has stopped regenerating. I am level 32 Dark Elf. It regenerated throughout the whole time, but now has stopped. Does it have to do with the Ring of Perfection or any particular piece of equipment?

I know this probably isn't it since you apparently have been regenerating, but what is you're birthsign and/or if you know what I'm talking about, would that have anything to do with it?

Try removing all your equipment, and see if it still happens. That's the easiest way to check for problems in objects on your character. Just remove it all, and wait around an hour.

Check to see if you've contracted a disease. I believe my char had similar problems after fighting with zombies or vampires and it turned out I had been infected by some disease or another. Once I drank a cure disease potion my char immediately started regenerating again.

Now that triggers a memory, and I think you may be onto something. I seem to recall a disease that stops magicka regeneration, and one of my early characters suffered from it for a bit. Good catch.

There is a disease that stops Magicka regeneration. I remember fondly when I got it. Just drank a pot. and I was better. The effect is called "Stunted Magicka". Just check your active effects and see what's causing it.

So what was the cause, Stormthrower? Was it in fact disease?

The disease Astral Vapors (contracted via Dread Zombies) will stunt your magicka regeneration, as will choosing the Atronarch birthsign.
