Stuck with the shadow thiefs and Arkanis

I'm stuck after two month.
After finishing all the details of chapter two I decided not to team up with Bodhi
and I paid the 15000 GP and should visit
the shadow thiefs. But whenever I approach
them I will be slayed down by a guy named
Arkanis.

I tried old saves (very old one) and the same
thing happened. I read that the guy should
prevent to screw up the story line. But
what should I do now the story line does
not go on any more...

It sucks, does anybody has a glue?

I Don't have much of a "glue".
You might want to change your mind and team up with Bodhi. That way, you can kill Shadow Thieves whenever you like. And you won't be attacked by vampires at the docks near Spell Hold.
The Arkanis Guy always appears whenever you kill a shadow thief or tries to rob them. I would try to look for Bodhi again.

I experienced Arkanis Gath only once (the 1st Bodhi's quest). He was tough but manageable. Perhaps I was lucky. I suggest to attack him preferably whenever he occurs (commad your people to attack him and ignore the rest of thieves around).
