Need Help, Tatoonie problem

Hey i have been playing KOTOR on the pc and i have been doing good until i got the most aggravating glitch i have ever encounter maybe someone here knows what the problem might be. If i cant figure it out i am going to have to restart the game again. When i am on tatoonie i took the quest to kill the chieftain from Czerka Corp. and then i got the dialogue from the duro to not kill him blah blah blah. However once i get to the sand peoples territory i kill them all without letting the turret see me. Then i put on my sand people gear to go in without getting killed. When i get inside their territory with the sand clothing on i am not confronted by anyone in there and there is no tusken raiders spawned inside and when i go out the turrets will attack me. If i go back in with their clothing still on and go back out they wont attack me. How can i get past this because no matter what i need the map from the chieftain to move on

If the guard in the sand people base isn't talking to you (have you got HK in your party as you need him to translate to do it the peaceful way?) then you can always just kill everyone in the sand people base and take the map from the chieftain's body.
