Trains. Or more importantly, the ignorant idiots who catch them. I go to a school (that's not the amazing part ) that heaps of people catch the train to. There is probably of 200 people minimum catching the train I catch in the afternoon. Now, I'll admit that, everyone being male, we're loud, and we're annoying (especially the little kids). So that's fair enough. What I don't like, is the people that generalise, and generalise without reason.
In Queensland, the rules for trains is that you can't take your bike on a peak hour train. So we all crowd onto the train, letting some guy with his bike on first. Meanwhile, there is another 20 something person with a bike on the train. So because we're all squished in due to the bikes taking up room, they start abusing us for blocking up trains. They spend the next 10 minutes using many colourful words to describe us.
Then today, there's this woman who catches the train in our carridge, she has 5 kids, one in a pram, all of them are disobedient, and all of them are dirty (including her), and smell extremely bad. Now, we make way for the people to get off the train, and then left room for her and the herd to get on. She's struggling to get up, her kids are refusing to jump up, she starts slapping and eventually they get on. Meanwhile, as she's sitting down, we start to crowd on again. She then 'mumbles' (I say this because it was obviously loud enough) about us.
So let me put out a warning... 'If you catch a train that has schoolchildren on, it won't be peaceful, it won't be comfortable, and you abusing us doesn't help'.
Phew, that feels better.

Ha! I handed in the assignment today, the code is fine, but the documentation is going to be pathetic, so I'll probably go poorly.
And I'm tired of people ignoring "No Spam" and "Spam Lite" in topic threads.
I have merged the two threads.
I see little significant differences between stating one's pet peeve and rant (given the examples shown in the posts), but one thing stands out --- with ranting come almost always some forms of unsavory expressions involving words normally filtered out in this forum.
Now, please, rant if you want, but watch the language. Let's not try to give us mods a good reason to close this thread.

I'm frankly a bit p'ed off to see people that complain about the death of SYM one month tear into a "newbie" the next for starting a thread that, yes, might have been done before, and might have little chance of succeeding. OK, tell him in kindly words that this is so, but why the snootiness around it. Djeez.
I thought the idea was to encourage people to keep the board alive and keep them active and such. I'd rather see them fail by posting than have them not try at all.

I agree. I've certainly tried to be patient after recent times and help to cut down on that behaviour..
My current peeve...misunderstandings. They can blow things out of all proportion.

My new pet peeve is people who expect that I read their PM's within the minute... my eye isn't glued to the upper right corner of my GB window you know.
Heh. Set GB to pop up a dialog box saying you have a new PM, it's easier than having to check manually...
Thanks for the tip!
@ Magrus: I hadn't noticed that.

I'll let you know if anything annoys me...
Seriously though, post what you want about me, I suppose...and see how long it takes me to regret saying that.
