PnP Vampire- Whitewolf
I was wondering what books were recommended to start a pnp whitewolf vampire campaign. I am well experienced with DnD rules but I am a noob when it comes to whitewolf. I need to know what books to get so I might get a grip on how to play the game and get a campaign started.
It depends, for the new rules (Vampire: the Requiem), you'd need the basic rules book "The World of Darkness - storytelling system rulebook" and the specific Vampire rulebook "Vampire: the Requiem - a modern gothic storytelling game". There are of course expansions and also the books in the Werewolf and Mage serieses.
For the old rules (Vampire: the Masquerade), I don't really know whether they're still published, but they migh still be available on e-bay or so.
And here is a link to whitewolf's site where you might find more information.

I think that God in creating man somewhat overestimated his ability.

The old ones you'd have to get from ebay or amazon, but they're easy to find because many of us masqueraders prefer it over the new one. Honestly I haven't really looked into the new system much so I don't have an opinion on it.
You can also check at a WW-sanctioned fan site like shadownessence.com - they have some info on what books you might want to get, and they do reviews and stuff. They also have info for new storytellers (DMs).
It depends also on what kind of game you want to run. Vampires, Werewolves, Wraiths, Mummies, Mages, Hunters (people who hunt all the others), etc? Each one has its own set of books. I definitely recommend checking WW's main forum and some of the big fan sites, they have some very helpful info available.
