Drow equipment & Bag of Holding

Post by DaemonJ »

In the descriptions for all of the Drow equipment that I am finding, yes just hitting the Underworld, it says that the item will disintegegrate in the sunlight.

So will placing the items in a Bag of Holding and keeping them there until in a store work?

Technically, since the item is in the BOH and the store is inside, they shouldn't go away but you guys know better than I.

No they disintegrate if they are in your possession when leaving the underdark, even if in a bag of holding. I think there are mods that can make it so they don't disintegrate though.

A pickpocketing familiar can bypass checks for drow items, not that it'd be really worth the effort in my opinion.

Thanks for the info.

I was looking to do it legally and just thought that it would be an interesting try with the BOH.

I wonder what the Drow are going to do when they attack the surface but don't have any weapons or armor? :speech:

(chortle)

about as frightening as the galactic invasion which didn't factor in size and got eaten by a dog.

drow with AC -14 wielding Vorpal Blade set at 99% auto-kill - steps out and whoops! AC 10, unarmed and as dead as a vampire at noon in death Valley.

just don't get people onto daleks and steps...

another way to bypass the desintigration of drow equipment is to puase as quickly as possible after getting out of the underdark, and then drop all the drow equipment. i've read somewhere that a guy did this and found out that the check for drow equipment comes like 1 or 2 per round and that it doesn't count items on the ground. i haven't tried this myself, don't like the cheese. but if the auto video prevents pausing maybe you could re-enter the underdark after your chat with him ethan (or whatever his name was) and then get the equipment.
