Enchanting help--possible spoilers

Post by ZAYL »

I have not been able to enchant any item with spell absortion or spell reflection. I am an expert in mysticism, alteration and illusion, possess Azuras Star and have Daedric, Glass items/armor and the higher quality jewelry. Have any of you enchanted any item with absorption or reflection? What am I missing.

The spells don't show up in your list when go to enchant, but you have them as spells in your casting repertoire? -That's because several spells have been deliberately removed from the enchant list in the game. Developers thought people abused them in Morrowind, and wanted to prevent you from enjoying yourse...I mean, from making such terrible errors of judgment. ;)

Thanks. I wish I had known that when I walked out of the prison with a High Elf born under the Apprentice. I'll just have to find some good quest items.

u can still "break the game" as in morrowwind by enchanting somthing with 100% camealon (you may need to enchant mutiple things to get to 100)

Fable, you big thilly :) . But yeah, I find it a bit annoying, too. I MW I had constant effect armor to recharge health, strength, agility, fatigue and pretty much everything else, so I was all but impossible to kill even in the most dire straits. I was stressing for days trying to figure out how to enchant a constant effect Restore Health before I realized I'm just not allowed to do that. In Oblivion, it's not allowed, like Levitation.

I understand Levitation was eliminated because of limitations in the physical engine, that made any view from above look like a bunch of intersecting lines. Be that as it may, Levitation is missed, and pure mages *still* feel like they've been nerfed. That said, I use the Compleat Enchanter mod. It really pumps up destruction spells (with a mild boost to others, too) with a greater magicka cost to you, reconfigured magicka by sign that can more than double the amount you have on hand, and greatly increases the magicka available to your enemies. So spells can literally blow enemies up in the air and away, but a really good enemy mage can do the same to you, too. :)
