Completed Heist (TG) - Spoiler -

Post by oblivscum »

Hey,
Okay so I've completed all of the TG quests and now I am The Gray Fox, and I own the TG building. They say I "own" it. Can I do anything with it?
Do any fence members ever show up? I walked in, no one was in there; waited, and about 1am there were people. But I then left and continued with something else, so I don't know if it's the same people every time?

Can I wear the Cowl and give people quests?/Is there anything beneficial (except for the attributes) that I receive from wearing the Cowl?

I killed someone with the Cowl...I think it was an Imp. Guard. And it said my actions have been seen by the forces or something. Whats up with that...I am the guild master, why can't I do what I want--is there a way around this?

Also; was The Last Heist the actual last quest-related thing for TG?

Comments appreciated!
Thanks.

I haven't finished the TG but the "your actions have been observed by forces" (or something to that effect) means the DB has seen you and next time you sleep you'll be visited with an invitation.

sadly you can't give out missions :( a nice thought for ES5, but no you have completed the thieves guild questline and have done everything you can do in the guild (though you can still continue indepedent thievery)

If you own the TG headquarters, it appears you can safely store loot in any of the chests, crates, etc. upstairs in the guildmaster's chambers. I've stored stuff there over a week and it was there when I came back. Handy if you didn't shell out the cash for the waterfront hovel. Don't store anything downstairs though. It quickly comes up missing (not surprising, as it is the thieves' guild, after all).

Also, other than the attributes, the coolest thing about the cowl is that any character who sees you wearing it forgets who you are after you take it off. So, any bounty you accumulate for crimes you commit wearing the cowl disappears as soon as you remove it. Very useful for B&E, pickpocketing, etc. I don't do murder, but based on the "observed by forces unknown" message you got I'd be curious to know if the DB can see thru the disguise, or if they only approach you if you sleep wearing the cowl.

The bad news is you start with a 500 GP bounty when you wear it and crimes just add to that total, so guards will enthusiastically pursue you on sight (and they won't offer jail or a fine - "resist arrest" is the only option if they catch you). That's not as bad as it sounds though - as long as your alter ego doesn't have any bounty, you can remove the cowl and yield as soon as they attack you. They'll stop attacking, look confused, mutter "have a nice day" or something, and go about their business.

haha yeah. thats funny that you say that, i realized that as well. i did it once, just testing how the cowl worked (saved and ya know) and saw you could do that. they say something liek "okay ill let you off this time" as one of their comments. I wonder if they keep accepting your yield if you do that enough.

Plus thanks for the info.
