Strange Bug

Post by fierydemise »

As I've been playing I've encountered a strange bug on 3 different occasions, I continually move left, I can use all other controls (except for move right) but no matter what I do I walk left. This effects all of my saves but after a while the problem just goes away. This has happened once while walking around Bruma, once while in Castle Anvil courtyard and once while in the Imperial City Market District. Anyone know why this is happening?

If you're playing on a 360 the problem is probably your vidstick. If you're playing on a PC-which I highly doubt-the problem is probably your keyboard.

I'm on a PC, I thought it could be the PC because I'm using an old Gateway keyboard I've had for years but I wanted to see if anyone else had had similar issues.

I'm not sure if this is the same issue, but the next time this occurs, look at the three LEDs above the keypad on your keyboard. If all three are blinking, then your keyboard is incommunicado. It crashed. In some games, you can get past this by pressing escape three times. In others, you've got to stop and reload.

Having keyboard problems is not such a naive thing. It can seriously crash your computer. I'd suggest borrowing one from a friend and plugging it in to see what happens. If this is the issue, and it sounds like one, change it, they are after all not that expensive really.

But don't muck about with it, I personally saw a damaged keyboard (even though it was new) bring down a system which was rather highpriced and new to its knees. Not a pretty sight. Took us ages to figure it out and by then the price was paid.
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

I have also had a very similar problem. Sometimes my character just strafes left for no obviouse reason. Happend 3-4 times to me i can normally unclock it by pushing the left arrow key or d (cant remember which one sorry :( ).
Hope you find a way to fix it :) .

I've had Windows get confused with shift, alt, and control keys - they turn on, but it misses the off. Tap them each once again, and it goes back to normal. It's not the Stickykeys "feature" (though that could do it too), but acts like it.

had the same problem

if you're using the computer, chances are your "Q" button is stuck - literally. i mean the button next to the W. it causes you to constantly walk diagonally to the left - no need to hold down the button, just press it once. some kinda bug
