Bug with Drawers in Arch-Mage´s Chambers?!

Post by Nagroth »

Hi!

After becoming Arch-Mage, I deposited several items in the drawers in the Arch-Mage´s Chambers. However, some time later I noticed that all items (except for a shirt I didn´t put in there!) were gone. Has anybody else experienced this? Or might this be connected to the enchanted alchemy chest in the same room?

Thats no bug, theres a magic chest in the Arch-mage room that multiplies ingredients that are deposited into it. If you don't get the ingredients within a week, they disappear. The chest is meant for alchemy ingredients so it's best for future reference not to put anything else in there except for stuff for alchemy.

I think it's important to notice this part of the post. It's not the magic chest he's using...but drawers.

So far, I've not noticed anything missing from the drawers or night table. I'll have to keep close tabs to see if anything does come up missing.

BUT, yes, the magic chest kind of got me by surprise at first. I only wish it would multiply the Nirnroots. LOL!

Short version: There are a number of places that you appear to become owner of through the game, such as guild-master quarters. You are owner in the sense that anything in those places belongs to you. Nonetheless, the only place where your stuff is truly safe for storage is in your home. You may have noticed the guy who is mad at you for getting him kicked out of the guards? He attacked me in the Arch-Mages quarters, although I'm sure he would have attacked me wherever I was at the time unless I was in my house in which case he would have been waiting outside. If he can get in there, thieves can get in there. Your house is secure. Noplace else is.
