Morag Tong/Thief conflict

Post by shadow049 »

I am a Theives guild member, and being a good thief, I dont buy anything it is possible to steal. I joined the Morag Tong, but when I present my assisanation writ to the gaurd, he takes all my stolen stuff. Is there anything I can do other than dropping everything before showing my writ to the guard?

hit the ~ key to bring up the console. then type in player->payfinethief as well as player->setpccrimelevel 0. I dont like using the console but, I guess as a last resort.. that will remove the bounty off your head. Or you could go to someone in the thieves guild if you are a member and they will do it for you.

If you are on PC there are mods to address this issue, try a search of Planet Elders Scrolls for Morag Tong or Writ Fix. (I think there are a three or four different mods with very similar titles.)

The evidence chests are in the main forts, usually in the prison bits. There is also one in the starting room in Seyda Neen. Its quite hard though to pick the lock (its a high lock picking skill required) and steal the stuff back without being seen though - or maybe thats just cos I'm useless at thieving lol.

Hmm

On a truly random note, my skills bar pulled a disappering act.
It happened after I was messing with the console, did I do something dumb?

Remember what commands you used? Some are notoriously bugged.

Right-click to go to the menu. Then click the health/magicka and endurance bars.
