Can't Exit Easthaven Caves ...

Post by Murphypacker »

I have finished up in the Easthaven Caves but can't find my way back to Easthaven! I've gone back and forth buying and selling gear several times, but now I go to the map area where the party entered the caves and where it exited the caves before, find a door, and it just takes me to a small area where the looted caravans are. I need to take the caravan contract back to Hrothgar. Help, please!

You have to pass the area with the looted caravans every time when you travel from Easthaven to the cave or back.

The contract is for someone else living in Easthaven. Hrothgar just needs to know what happened to the Caravan.

kmonster, that makes sense ...

my problem is that I can't go anywhere else but back out that door and into the caves again! On my previous trips back to Easthaven I don't remember that door: I just remember heading the party south on the southeastern rim until I hit the icon that takes you back to Easthaven. I did the same this time, hit the icon, got in the small area with the caravans and couldn't get out. I tried a long time. I'll try again. Thanks!

Tried again and voila!

Worked like a charm! I somehow got the impression last night from the map screen that that area did not expand with party movement. Thanks for the help -- I'll try to have a more challenging problem next time!

Sounds like you're about ready to undertake your journey out of Easthaven. Just double check every area before you go thru with the trip. Once you reach Kuldahar, I'd take a few moments to enjoy the music and scenery.

Thanks, DaveO, for the encouragement! ...

My party wipes the cave floors with orc shamans, thanks to y'all, but struggles with tying its shoes! But progress is being made; I understand the interface and the 'how-do-you's' a little better each session. Well, on to Kuldahar!

Don't worry so much about asking a lot of questions. I feel it's better to have an understanding of the game as well as the pros and cons to certain characters and dialogue choices. There are a few areas where dialogue can influence the outcome or you get experience for certain dialogue choices. But you've not reached any of those areas yet. I especially like one of the responses at the end game, but I don't want to spoil the game experience for you.

Concur with DaveO

Ask away Murphypacker,

It is a lot of fun for those of us who have completed the game to hear how someone doing it for the first time is faring in their journey.
