Hello, I've been playing through SoA and most of ToB with a solo assassin some time ago. Now I wanted to finish it but I can't beat the Ravager. I managed to get him at badly injured, but that's it.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Oooh, you should have an easy time with him.
Are you soloing? In any case, lay down a few spike traps, before you actually start fighting him. If I recall correctly, it's the ravager and two swords. The traps revert ranged mode and they will basically severely damage anything they strike. I guess that it'll take around one trap per sword, which leaves three or so for the Ravager.
I'm sure that it doesn't matter where you set the draps, as long as they're in the same area (basically the Pocket Plane). Start the battle with a poisoned backstab. The Assassinate ability will help a lot as well. Make sure to you your Avoid Death and Greater Evasion abilities.
Once your thief tricks are up, better equip some heavy hitting stuff like Carsomyr +6 or Gram the Sword of Grief +5.
If you're not soloing, summon summon summon, oh and don't forget to buff. The skeletons, invisible stalkers and the Planetars/Devas are very powerful allies.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
Yes i'm indeed soloing, forgot to mention that.
Well the problem is, the area where you fight the Ravager gets sealed off from the main area, so traps aren't gonna work. I also think i have tried to use Assassination but he is immune to backstab.

Well, try the traps thing anyways.
By the same area I meant the whole area that you can view on your map. For example, if I set the traps in Saradush, put go into Gromnir's castle, they won't activate. However, if I fight someone very far away, in Saradush, the traps will activate. You could always try to get an XP boost from summoning different party members and using them as tanks.
Oh! Of course! Use spells. Like Greater Mantle, Time Stop and Tenser's transformation. You can get all of them from Lazarus. I believe that he sells them in limitless amounts.
As an assassin, I believe that you have somewhere about 150-300 health, so, Tesner's transformation would give it a significant boost, not to mention imrpove your fighting skills by quite a bit.
Take advantage of your "Use Any Item" ability.

Well, my Assassin, at the end of the game had 161 hit points with one bonus health item.
161 * 2 = 322. That gives you a significant amount of health upon which you can survive.
