I am so confused. Ok. So this is my.. Third or fourth time through the game, and every time I get to the maze in the Warrens, right before I pick up the key card for the door thing, this thing uses Celerity and like, dashes across the screen to fight the two.. 'fat' guys. I usually just let it die, cause I figure it's a glitch. But he shows up. Every time. So this time, since I'm a bad ass Gangrel with Protean 5, I figured I'd try and save him. And I did. And. It's a Nos. And Nos' can't HAVE Celerity. ..Right? I got a screen shot of him, cause he turned around and looked at me, but I couldn't talk to him.. He looks a bunch like Mitnick, don't he? ._.

Um. ..Thoughts? x_x; I don't understand! Even when I got to the Warrens, the dialogue was all the same..
Yep--they look the same, but its not Mitnick, since Mitnick is at Nos. headquarters even after the other Nos. dies. Did you save him? (Once, in Chinatown I saved the old gangster in the warehouse after the Tong invade it, and he couldn't talk to me after that either, mainly b/c he probably wasn't designed to live.) I have noticed that the Nos. in the Warrens goes by very quickly, but I think its just a goofy cutscene, and not celerity.
In this game Nosferatu can't have Celerity. The PnP rules are more flexible. If I understand it correctly, the Disciplines you get to choose from in this game are sort of the "default" Disciplines for various clans. In PnP, you could buy points in some other Discipline if you wanted to. A Nosferatu could have Celerity instead of Animalism, for example.
Don't quote me on that, though. That's just something I regurgitated from a post I vaguely remember from a while back. I'm sure Pennypincher or Lucita could give you a much more thorough explanation.
As for this guy in the Warrens... He's not meant to live. He exists only as an example to you, the player, of how Andrei's monstrocities have the Nosferatu pinned down in their warrens. I have successfully saved him many times. Sometimes he walks away and disappears. Sometimes he dies anyway.

Zhao simply has nothing further to talk to you about after the Tong come after him. He wasn't necessarily meant to die. If you have the latest unofficial patch installed, you get an xp bonus is you keep him alive.
".... for I had seen the Human face of the Vampires, and now I beheld the monstrousness of these Men..."
And yes indeed...in the Pen n' Paper game you can "buy" other disciplines with experience points and a "teacher" available later in the game. Though the "natural" disciplines like Celerity, Fortitude and Potence are learnable without a teacher ( if I remember correctly ).
When you start, you have to give your character Clan disciplines first with your set discipline points. With your freebie points ( you get them to flash your character out in the end of creation ) you can buy non Clan disciplines at the start if you like.

Zhao still spoke to me after we wasted all the Tong. He just suggested I hurry if I wished to save my colleague.
