Haha Funy AI (Spoiler??)

Post by HellBlazer »

Hi all! ,
Just wanted to share with you my experience with the AI in oblivionand you can share yours as well. ;)

I think its pretty good and realistic the way the NPC can make there own decsions.Although it can lead to problems such as........
I was wondering through a town (cant remeber) And i noticed a squad of gards rush past me and chase somebody down.I always like to watch the gard's do there thing so i followed them.I missed the action but i seen a crumpled Arrow filled body of an argonian lying in a heap in a door frame. (LOL) and when i approched it , it turned out to be cityswimmer a triainer of
acrobatics , when i searched her corps i looks like she was exicuted for stealing a loaf of bread!!!! man i laughed so hard!!!!! :mischief:

Chances are the NPC was spawned with a high bounty and a "kill on sight" flag set. Though it's possible it was created to steal at the onset, which was done in Morrowind by the popular Morrowind Comes Alive mod. (There were other mods that also created pickpockets.)

Did it state somehow that the loaf of bread was stolen, or is this assumed? (Bear in mind, even if it did state it was stolen, that's easily written when the NPC was created. There was an add-on to MCA in MW that made it appear all the thousands of new NPCs had names and backgrounds, but they were randomly spawned according to certain preestablished parameters (ie, bandits were more likely to show up in town or on roads than simply in the wilderness) when you entered any cell.

I think this event is scripted - I have read elsewhere of people experiencing this exact event.

Cityswimmer is a thief, and will run around picking up everyone's stuff. If it's witnessed, the guards will go after poor Cityswimmer. It's just some game "color."
